I have 30 tires to thump daily and in one week I would wear out a pair of boots kicking them. 8 axle 'B' train |

All those scared wittle wabbits in law enforcement. Afraid of truck drivers who become irate over a speeding ticket. I would never bring a tire billie to a gun fight.:-?:haha: Winter? Oh yeah, it's cold and rainy here today with a flash flood watch in effect. Spring is just around the corner. It's likely that we'll skip spring again this year and go directly to summer.:hmmm: |
Many years ago there was a cop that was harassing gravel haulers unmercifully. Every chance he had he got out his trusty ticket book and wrote them up, if he didn't have a charge in the H.T.A., then he made one up. I think his purpose was to get them to waste all their time in court, whether the charges were bona-fide or not, then they couldn't haul gravel. Well the story goes that he (the cop) pulled over one of the haulers that he had pulled over many times before, only this time it was in the evening. The driver enticed the cop to go around to the passenger side of the truck. Now understand this was a pretty big 'in shape' cop. The cops' gun and badge did NOT save him from the beating he got that day. It was shortly after the cop got out of hospital that he quit the force.
It doesn't matter how big you are, there is always someone out there that is bigger and will hurt you if you give them the opportunity. We are supposed to get up to 39 here today. I boo-booed the other day and scraped the snow and slush off the driveway. Over night it froze, now I can ice skate on it. Smmmmmmmmmoooooooooooooth as silk. I had to put down some ashes so I could walk to the garage from the house. But it will warm up again and the slush will go, hopefully soon. We've still got 2' of snow on the lawns. |
That's why we call it The Great White North:D
My one visit to Alberta was in the month of May and the skies were spitting snow when we arrived. Ashes are cheap but, ice-melt will "remove" the ice.:03::O: |
Many years ago, I was in 7th grade and writing an exam, so that would be June and I looked out the window and it was snowing. It wasn't snowing hard, just steady. It didn't stay though. This was about 30 miles east of Toronto. Winter will be over by Labour Day weekend. Trouble is that we can expect snow anytime after Labour Day weekend.:har:

No sign of a thaw yet? :hmmm:
|
Just checked the forecast. Extended periods of freezing rain tonight and into the morning. Then another blizzard/nor'easter for Tuesday.:nope:
|
Pouring rain right now. I mean coming down hard. I have the balcony door open and can see it bouncing of the driveway below.
|
If it gets any colder here it'll be hotter at work :-?
