Steven spielberg seems to not like my hometown, else he wouldn't have made a movie about destroying it. :D
From the Westfälische Nachrichten and Münstersche Zeitung:
Steven Spielberg produces series episode about bomb attack on Münster
On October 10, 1943, Münster was destroyed by American aerial bombs. The fateful day in the city's history is now the focus of a TV series produced by director Steven Spielberg and actor Tom Hanks for Apple TV+.
Nate Mann plays Robert Rosenthal in "Masters of the Air". He was the only pilot to return with his plane from the attack on Münster on October 10, 1943.
One of the fateful days in Münster's history is now the focus of a mini-series produced by legendary director Steven Spielberg and Oscar winner Tom Hanks. On October 10, 1943, US bombers launched a devastating attack on Münster. 473 civilians lost their lives and large parts of the city center were destroyed. However, the series "Masters of the air", which is shown on the Apple TV+ streaming platform, focuses less on the destruction in Germany and more on the stories of the American bomber pilots.
