@Betonov

Just an update on my lad seeing as how you were kind enough to take an interest in his career earlier....

He is currently on a 747 flying Heathrow to Miami to join his vessel the Zuiderdam tomorrow.

Yes but just the once, I kept a safe distance after that.

He was round our house last night and he reckons he will sort out a fortnights cruise for his mother and I but we're not going to hold our breath :03:

Two years ago we were supposed to be going to Alaska but that never materialised either :stare:

Wait untill he becomes captain. It's risky to ''arange'' such cruises, even for ones parents when you're not alpha

His recent promotion brought him a very substantial payrise, a $250 per month onboard drinks allowance and most imortantly a forty five days per year family onboard entitlement...so I reckon the bugga can start considering his family a little more :o

^Maybe he's planning a long trip for you a little later,:up:

James doesn't plan...he plots.

Tell him you'll book it with his inheritance! That should get him moving. :D

His latest remark this time home was "If my ship is in the Caribbean I didn't think mam and you would want to pay for two return flights".

My response was "For a free fortnight, all-inclusive (apart from alcohol) of course we'd pay for our flights. It's funny you never considered finances when you scrounged a substantial interest free loan of us last year"!!

Love him to bits but everything has to be on his terms, which is probably why he's advancing so rapidly in life :)
