Heard a rumor of no more pro bowls ...

I wonder what happened at the last one to cause this?

There were boos at this year's Pro Bowl because of the lackluster play, which is not something you want at the festive, care-free celebration of the best your league has to offer.

It might not be a bad idea to mercy kill it.. Players should be named Pro Bowlers and get a stipend for that honor by the league but forget the game itself. Often the games are about as interesting as watching a scrimmage with the third stringers playing. I cannot blame the players. I wouldn't want to get hurt in a meaningless game and possible toss my career. Its happened a few times already and it's not worth it.

The NBA All-Star game is the same thing with millionaire players running up and down the court scoring and zero defense visible. It's just the NFL players finally figured that out.

There was a pro bowl? If they go by my interest, they could drop the game and I'd never notice.

Meaningless game with overpaid guys in Hawaii. I'm taking a wild guess the players don't care much.

So let them go golfing and enjoy their break.

Agreed. All star games in general are pretty lame. I wouldn't miss the Pro Bowl, and I bet the players wouldn't either.

I would like to say I'm looking forward to baseball but my team has sucked since 1995. Just not fun to see a loss after loss all summer long.

I was saying the same thing back in December. Of course, I actually am looking forward to baseball season. Two weeks 'till pitchers and catchers in Clearwater. Go Phils. :yeah:

They may be adding a couple of more Wild
Card spots, so that may make the season
a little more tolerable. Otherwise baseball
is

We didn't have the coin to keep Doc, just one of many that have
left for greener pastures :nope:

Parity between teams is the key, not so much the skill level of the players. A High School softball game can be just as fun to watch as any major league contest, even more maybe, as long as both teams are evenly matched.

I'm an advocate of the skills competition idea. Who wouldn't want to watch Brady and Rodgers slinging a football through a tire from 50 yards out?

All year I watched a team who had no chance win, win alot, win ugly.
This team was charted to finish second to last in its division.

It won the second seed in the NFC. They also lost in overtime to the current Bowl champions. Not a bad resume.:woot:

Any team can win any game, on any Sunday. Just look at Buffalo earlier in the year, then look what happened to them.

More than any other sport NFL offers the fans parity.

All you heard week 11 was Pittsburg, Baltimore, New Orleans, and Green Bay, being shoe ins for the bowl.

Where are those teams? Knocked out by lesser teams, who displayed more heart, and more talent, on that particular Sunday.

With that, I look forward to next year.

I look forward to watching the Red and Gold crush your quarterbacks.

So how about them Niners next year

BREAKING NEWS.....
Gisele most hated woman in Boston????

Brady selling condo in Boston?????

Tom if Boston hates you, move to MN. We will love you, despite what your wife says.:yeah:

Sure, you went to Michigan, but we can overlook that.

Hey, if you deside to re-locate, can you bring Gronk with you?

Bunch of idiots misdirecting their disappointment at a convenient target.

She has a right to her opinion and a right to express it and I think no less of her for it. Certainly what she said is tame compared to most of the monday morning quarterbacking going on.

Personally I blame the media the most for hovering around like vultures hoping to catch something on tape so they can stir up trouble.
