Begin to look like no points on one of my predictions but hey it was made a while ago, I will update to score card Fri/Sat some time on that one. I suspect jim will hold his first place over the rest of us.
And now.. Quote:

As for voting tomorrow I will have to see if I am up to it. I will not force myself or upset my back any further, I put myself first every time before politics.

Constituency: Lib Dem, Cons, Nats and SLab. Probably hold my nose and vote for the Cons AKA the "Ruth Davidson Party".... Region: Lib Dem, Cons, Nats, SLab, Greens, UKIP, Libertarians, Communists, National Front (), RISE, Scottish Christians and Solidarity. Might go Cons or Libertarian with this one. Note that most of the loopy ones are on the list vote! The joys of the D'Hondt Method of proportional representation! Mike.:hmm2: |
To the victor the spoils but I readily admit this forthcoming result, whichever way it goes, is far more eagerly awaited than the last few I've lived through.

I am not voting my back is just not up to it and why should I. Not one leaflet dropped though my letter box and not one canvasser knocked on the door which tells me why should I bother as clearly they can not, and their the ones who want my vote.

Just been to cast my votes

The Cons are now number two party at Holyrood, with 31 MSP's. Six are constituency with the rest being regional list members.
SLab have a very bad night (good!) losing 13 seats to the other parties, mainly the SNP. The SNP do not have an overall majority, being two short of the 65 needed. They make a clean sweep of the Glasgow constituencies, however, ousting SLab from the "Dear Green Place" just as they did at the Westminster elections. It'll be interesting to see if the carnage in the Clyde Valley continues with the Scottish council elections next year. My guess is probably.:smug: The Lib-Dems have made a slight comeback, not losing any MSP's but have gained two constituencies and held the Orkney and Shetland ones (the islands have separate seats at Holyrood, rather than being lumped together for Westminster). Five MSP's in total. The Greens however have edged the Libs-Dems into fifth place, gaining six MSP's. UKIP falls flat on it's face, despite that twat Cockburn's assertions otherwise. They have done well in Wales however. Results: BBC page. SNP: 63 Cons: 31 SLab: 24 Greens: 6 Lib-Dems: 5 Mike. |
The only slight surprise for me was the SNP failing to gain an overall majority.
