Tks jim, it's a bit of a hoot. Another reason why this sim is so excellent and why my family is no doubt getting the straightjacket ready :yep: . Just gotta keep an eye on my disk space and make sure I clean the shots out. I was hitting Ctrl/PrtSc so often I ended up with 1G of shots in no time.

Apr 16, -40.

Back in Kiel after an disastrous patrol. We lost 11 crewmembers:nope: And our boat can only just be kept afloat.
We shot down 10 enemy planes, but the price is too high. We will dive on first sight of planes in the future.

Wolff, U-53.

All the pretty girls must be pretty lonely to be standing in a driving rainstorm, in a smelly port, waiting for a bunch of guys that haven't bathed in weeks.:D

Avoiding a distant armed trawler, with a granville to Stb

Slightly later, leaving the vicinity of the sinking granville as the armed trawler returnes

LZ Von Swe, how the heck did you managed to shoot down 10 planes with that crappy 20mm?

Nice, I've never even seen a carrier.

They were all Swordfish type. Engaged at mittlere distans. They kept coming and after three hours we had shot down 8 of them with a loss of 2 men. Then came the big assault. 2 more Swordfish downed, but massive damage to the boat and 9 more
men dead:nope: Not sure, but I think there were some Hurricanes in there as well.

They probably came from an carrier in Scapa Flow:hmm:
