When i go to museum and watch german units the crash is just the next ship right side after the pretty hospital ship. ( i klick the right arrow with all units on)

Can anyone give a hint whats this unit and maybe even the problem with?

I use a mod setup with sobers list as a base layout, but some mods differ.

The usual suspects are already sort out and i dont use uncommon mods that add german units.

Any help would be great - man thanks in advance :dead:

Here is my modlist

Han Solo Harbour Mod give's me ctd's when in range 25 km of Wilhelmhaven.
After removing it, everthing was fine.

Theres something this game hates about dat files . If someone could make the bouys GR2 files then this would be a great start .

thx guys i'll sort out emcc and the habour addon mod.

GREAT i finished the patrol after disabling the harbour addon mod!!

Will see the museum problem is still there...

Damn it was foggy, i had a hard time docking, was totally off - so cool with real nav...

the crash next unit right after the german hospital ship in museum still persits.
Can someone tell me what unit this is? Or perhabs even confirm the crash on his setup?

I know when the crash unit is spawned in campaign similart thing will happen.

I should make clear this ist in no way intended to blame th OH Mod for unstable gaming but you guys her spotted the first bugger - hansolo's addons. and so I'll ask here again.
Afaik now the OH Mod is now the only one that adds units to my game.

Think i found out what the Problem was - i was doing harvok with the tdw patcher and others...

Coordinates in the Primary Objectives
 
Hi all!!!
I have in my MODS OH 2.5, Sjizzle's - MarineQuadrat Charts for NewUIs v. 0.00.2 activated and in my map MarineQuadrat Charts appear. But in Primary Objectives I have not AN7934 for example, or any MarineQuadrat as objective. I am in the career in the second mission (starting from Kiel). Maybe there are coordinates in the next missions, or I have to activate something?

What did you find? Those museum/campaign CTD's are bothering me for a long time...:nope:

By the way, unit you asked for is type IIA submarine...

thanks for the given hint it's the Type II boat.

first i found out museum is crashy as hell when game isn't not freshly bootet - you can only test that way - if you don't the CTD's appear with random units a lot.

2. learned the crash with the submarine im museum is here again :-( wtf...
I'll have to investigate - i'ts not your new mod i can say for sure :-)

thats not good - came will crash for sure in that state in campaign for sure.
That is i have learned from SHIII - if problems in museum also probs in game with high probability.

i bet some money on the merged sdl mod - you're with me?

Damn this time it runs, you can click directly on subarines the trigger the crash.
Seems some randomness in there it was to easy blaming that mos as alway .

I came to the same conclusion some time ago and it's always msvcr90.dll CTD...It's easiest to catch him if you load campaign in Kiel and then pay a visit to the museum without exiting the game.

You think sound files are the problem?

Please test without all these other mods and them let me know if OHII is crashing your game.

Sounds like the same old ground we are going over here - perhaps start a thread for the museum issue

Hi Torpedo

If all your mods are installed correctly - you will need to try and delete a file from your game.
I posted about this a few posts back - sorry I cant check as I am not at my game PC

The file to delete is the "patrol.tsr" file within the common folder in the campaign folders

Try this:

- go to roster germany in the museum
- klick "submarines"
- klick right "subs" and swith true units (it's not many sadly..)
- klick on all units
- circle to the ships with the right arrow.

- here my game crashes again, for now always on the "Emden" ship...


I'm now testing without the merge sdl and tdw flags patch disabled.
I also diasbled the destructable searchlights beta mod, but this seems to have no effect. Will re-enable

Since i disables the sdl i can alway klick on the submarins without crash,
but seems there is much randomness in it.

@trevally @vdr1981

in SH3 i found out soundmods were a big problem for my setup,
esp. when the game sound were modded to
like higher bitrate; mono-> stereo and / or higher / lower sampling rate.
So i did some mod for personal use were i have changed all (modded) sounds back to the default values from vanilla game. I never had probs with game stability with SH3 after that.

Conclusion? I don't now but i'll do that "mod" again some day for SH5
and change all sound files back to vanilla.

In neither way this has to be seen als ranting against OH or even other mods or complaining. I just want to share experiences.
I would not even play without OH and some others.


I'll do just a quick diry test "mod" with all original soundfiles from vanilla copied back overwriting all modded.
Should show if theres some difference.

So i did it - replaced all sound with vanilla.
(sdl too)

I pull back - the sound are not my problem.
Can anyome reproduce the above?

I have a install on other machine, next i try "the museum test" there with
OH as only installed mod.
