Prolly not but if it helps in the fight against terrorism, so be it.

I can understand that, and if it was only used for fighting against terrorism then that would be all well and good...but it won't be, and can we really trust the government with that kind of power?

Christ, listen to me, I sound like a Yank... :o

And that is the Elephant in the room, career politician's can not be trusted and a career politician that is a Prime Minister! We need something in place by the everyday voter and that something will see 100% that this snooping is not going to be used against the general public.

24 hours later at GCHQ...Make a Red File for this STEED bloke can't have him telling it straight. Intercept all his emails & letters and find out what newspapers he reads and why he eats pot noodle.

2016 BUDGET DAY

Will George Osborn be kissing you or slapping you in the face or a bit of both. We are hours away and the leaks don't sound very nice. :hmmm:

Always give it a good 24/48 hours after for independent number crunchers to spell out their findings. :03:

Oberon 03-16-16 08:46 AM

Well, Jamie Oliver is going to be happy with this budget, and so will big and small businesses, but everyone else...

Borrowing up growth down well well well what a turn around from last year...Ah of course they had to hide that to win the general election. This will allow time now for people to forget and get taken in with his big last give away budget before the next general election to return these rats to office.

Watching SKY News last night doing their newspaper review and one of the guests pointed out very little was written about the Labour opposition. Only one paper wrote a few lines and this was the worst reporting for 30 odd years!

Looks to me like he is rewarding those who have money at the expense of those most in need of financial assistance.

Most surprising to hear JC say something I could agree with.

Without the LibDem millstone around their necks they were free to do as they please. Some organization will be releasing their findings latter today, they are edging towards what you said jim.

Osborne will never get this country back in the Black all he has done is kick the can down the road, as for his sugar tax seems research around the world points to failed here and there.

STEED 03-18-16 12:48 PM

Well the vote is almost in from those organizations that are not pro or anti government and its clear, a budget for the well off.

Gids the well off do not spend money like the rest of us to survive so their contribution to kick starting the economy is like a a winters morning before Datsun cars came to the UK...Cough cough sputter sputter cough sputter..."Dam you £$£$^^&$@@:@%^£^$£$^&&$"£".

His attack on the disable has gone down well for his leadership challenge but the backbenchers are tutting. If he shuts that lot up it will put him in a even more better position.

Meanwhile old Gids is dirty Gids..
