UK economy grows 0.5% in fourth quarter
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-35427222

Quote:

The UK economy grew by 0.5% in the three months to the end of December, official figures show, taking the annual rate of growth for 2015 to 2.2%.
The Office for National Statistics show an improvement on the third quarter figure of 0.4%.
But the 2.2% annual growth in 2015 was down compared with 2.9% in 2014.
First of all this is not the whole picture and what we got is housing construction bubble and house hold spending resulting in house hold debt rising!

Second of all don't forget Q3 2015 was revised down from 0.5% to 0.4%.

Lets us wait a while for the full facts to come out.

It takes all the EU members to agree to any meaningful changes and the subject of welfare benefits is a meaningful change and one to which Poland is adamantly opposed to as are other eastern states.

So what gives?
