And attacking Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and shadow chancellor John McDonnell, he said Britain must not "go back to the bad old ways" of spending beyond its means....

I hope there is no backlash planned for the sick and disabled.

IDS is the most vile evil man in the tory party.

You may recall I have met him several times in the past but I never had his mobile number.

I have enquired of a usually reliable source and even they aren't sure but what I will say is that in my estimation he is far more astute and capable of leading the opposition than Corbyn is but should this turn out to be eventually proven it will do nothing more than further destroy any credibility Labour have remaining.

Totally counter-productive IMHO.

STEED 01-09-16 09:17 AM

I do agree old Ken is more on the ball, yes he has made clanger remarks in the past but some of those remarks were blown up by the press. Old Ken is on LBC Saturday morning 10-12 with yes that David. :)

I am wondering as you say old JC may have left the door open for the crazy side of Labour. Only time will tell.. :hmm2:

Jimbuna 01-09-16 11:08 AM

The real problem IMHO is that JC is genuinely convinced he has a mandate for change, based on the fact those who paid a one-off fee of £3 to vote took great advantage, passed over to them by Ed of all people.

As long as JC has said support he probably won't flinch at dragging the party down further.

Surely if the guy had half a brain he would realise he is unelectable.

I say all the above as a former party member of over fifteen years standing and one who could never vote Tory.

I think he knows he will not win the next general election behind the scenes but up front in public he has to say we are going to win. If he turned around to the media and said we are not going to win and that is a fact result would be a big fall off of votes.

Great example..

Nice one Gerald Ratner. :03:

As it stands there is no opposition to the Tories as Labour looks like going backwards and the Liberals are back to square one. UKIP and the Greens could be on the rise but that rise is going to take years and worst still the electro systems stinks!

The Labour Party needs a "period of calm" in the wake of resignations during Jeremy Corbyn's cabinet reshuffle, Lord Falconer has said.

The shadow justice secretary told the BBC's Andrew Marr Show the cabinet changes had been "an amazing distraction" from the country's issues.

Maybe the press will move their eye over to the Tories as they seem to be split over the EU.

David Cameron has proposed parenting classes to help deal with unruly children.

Step 1: try leaving them in a pub.

Could have come up with something funny, what they posted is so 1980's.

Moving on....

On the contrary....the sane rats are leaving the sinking ship before the king rat can infect them.

If it keeps going on at this rate I can see you having a pick at which shadow cabinet post you fancy having a crack at.
