Penalties for people who drop litter could reach as much as £150 under plans set out by the Department for Communities and Local Government.

You have to catch them first doing it. I got nothing against the idea but how can you enforce it just like using a mobile phone while driving which I see every week.

Jimbuna 01-02-16 06:20 AM

You throw some litter down in front of a LEA and you'll soon find out matey.

No power of arrest though.

Just appeal against the decision on the grounds no photo evidence no proof.

Moving on....

Prediction time for 2016

Four questions for everyone, predictions close on Jan 23rd you got three weeks.

1. Do think Jeremy Corbyn will still be leader of the Labour Party at the end of the year?

2. Which party do you think is going to be the biggest winner of the local elections?

3. Who will be the new London Mayor?

4.Will we get the EU referendum vote this year?

Here is mind
1. Yes
2. Labour (Long shot but may do it on the grounds of the recent flooding)
3. Sadiq Khan (Labour)
4. No

Winner gets to be a right royal smug git. :smug:

Plenty of flood victims have said things I can not repeat here so here is my edited short version.

1. Yes
2. Labour
3. Sadiq Khan (Labour)
4. No simple reason I do not believe a word toffboy says....

Jimbuna 01-03-16 11:44 AM

1. Yes
2. Labour
3. Sadiq Khan (Labour)
4. Yes

Oberon 01-03-16 12:52 PM

1. No
2. Conservative by a slim amount
3. Khan (Labour)
4. No, it'll be 2017.

I don't think Labour will do as well as they think they will in the local elections and that will spark a leadership challenge in Labour later in the year, Corbyn may well find himself being ousted by someone close to him, Watso-D2 perhaps, but I doubt it'll go to another leadership vote.
The Tories won't do as well as they hoped either, but they won't do as bad as they feared either. The North will swing back towards Labour, but the south will stay Tory. Meanwhile Pigman will delay the EU referendum as much as he can, but it'll be before May 2017, so probably March or April. UKIP will struggle to return to their glory days, because half of their energy will be expended trying to control the PR disaster that is Carswell vs Farage, eventually, perhaps after the EU referendum, Farage will stand down and go into a career in TV, who will replace him is anyones best guess. One of the downsides of having only one card in your deck that can actually do anything. :hmmm:

Just putting the questions and answer in one place, saves going up and down. :)

David Cameron is to allow ministers to campaign for either side in the referendum once a deal is reached on the UK's relationship with the EU.
He said the UK government would make a recommendation to the British people on which way to vote in the referendum.
But he told MPs "it will be open to individual ministers to take a different, personal decision while remaining part of the government".

Well done that man.

Now over on the other side of the house...

Michael Dugher has told BBC News he was sacked by Jeremy Corbyn for speaking up for colleagues who had been "trashed" by members of the Labour leader's team.
The ex-shadow culture secretary is the first - and so far only - casualty of Mr Corbyn's front bench reshuffle.
Probably finding it hard to find anyone that agrees with his political madness.

Shadow defence secretary Maria Eagle has been told that she will be moved.
A planned meeting of the shadow cabinet at lunchtime was cancelled as the changes are taking longer than planned.

The amount of money being borrowed by consumers in the run-up to Christmas rose by £1.5bn, the largest rise for nearly eight years.
In November, consumers owed a total of £178.2bn on credit cards and loans, figures from the Bank of England show.

WTF..is the matter with people in this country? You do not spend money you do not have and you don't borrow money on things like Christmas! You fools between the lot of you are driving up the personal collective debt and this plays right in to the hands of HagFish ToffBoy, on one hand he can walk around like a peacock on heat, wooo..look at the service sector boom times are here. And on the other hand no need to end austerity cuts after all those below the rich are dirt. :hulk:

I've only ever rated three or four at most.....weak as water.

STEED 01-06-16 06:36 PM

All that matters is the government of the day as they are the b'stards who run....sorry screw up the country with their BS and lies, just depends on how big those lies and BS is. :shifty:

Jimbuna 01-07-16 09:58 AM

I truly believe that the alternative is also of paramount consideration/importance and what we currently have is a leader of the opposition party who can only count on the support of approximately ten per cent of his elected members, those who were elected by their constituents to represent them and their views.

That is rather frightening in my estimation.
