WIP: 1.2.0
1.1.6 is turning into a fairly major upgrade. Because of this (and in particular the inclusion of an appropriately modified version of Joe's excellent updated Range/AOB Finder - see previous WIP post) I'm calling this 1.2. For now it will be GWX2 only (no stock version in the works, sorry). Coming features (in the order I remember them): -Fixed mast height for Medium Tanker. -Shortcut to UZO. -Some polish added to the dark version (one or two things were still too bright i.e. the red needle on chrono and the orange border around buttons when you mouse-over them; other things were too dark i.e. the text in the lower-right corner of the screen). -Joe's new Range/AOB Finder with better precision and FOV. -Navmap and Attack Map both darkened in line with the rest of the GUI. -Night time indicator (a Moon Icon - see below) added to navmap. -New, crisp nomograph added to navmap. -"paper" effect removed from navmap to allow better use of the draggable depth tool. -Draggable depth tool colours completely redone. That last one was no small amount of work. I plotted a graph of RGB values vs depth under keel readings (when surfaced) and made OOo Calc draw me three smoothed curves, from which I derived precise RGB values to use on the tool. Some things to note: -The tool is coloured according to depth under keel surfaced, not actual depth (the difference is only 5m and I doubt anyone would notice but I know how some of you like your accuracy so I thought I'd mention it). -The colours on the tool show the average depth between the markings e.g. the colour shown between the 60m mark and the 90m mark is actually the colour of a 75m depth under keel. This seemed to me to be the most logical and intuitive way of doing it. Some screenies of the navmap for you: Day http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2049/...62403251_o.jpg Night (note the moon icon) http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2192/...23897192_o.jpg Note that the JPG compression makes things look a bit blurry but I assure you the new nomo is quite sharp. :) Feedback welcome. What about the mod does not work?
Will it load? Does it crash to desktop? Do you have any other mods loaded? A common problem I have personally experienced is forgetting to set the 'manual targetting' to 'on' in the options screen...unless you do that the AOB finder disk does not come down when you click it. |

Sometimes...a picture is worth a 1000 words. Understanding the difficulty of language barriers...maybe this will help, as I suspect this may be the issue.
bruschi sauro Make sure that your file and folder structure looks like this... http://www.geocities.com/donw_43/folder.jpg |
Many thanks Mates, when I finish my work and go to home I try ....

Another screeny
Just to show the new, dark version attack map and (on the shortcuts bar) a new UZO shortcut (greys out when submerged).

Looks nice. Can't wait to try the release. By the way, somthing different: I noticed that many users seem to like that large compass that comes with GWX but it's not in OLC (there was some instructions how to get it back, unfortunately i cant find it anymore... :() -- you removed it because it was not realistic?

The compass (the lower left corner one) in the OLC GUI tells me exactly where I'm heading, and I've never had any difficulty setting course with the existing heading dial. Yes there's a thread around here telling you how to implement it... it was a very recent thread so it shouldn't take you long to find it. ;) Edit: cross posted with Mikhayl, who helpfully posted a link. :) |

Great, thanks guys. I dont know if I need or want it. I never played GWX without OLC (hell, I wouldn't want to) -- but I just want to check ist out, so thx :)

onelifecrisis,
not sure if you already know this, maybe it is something someone also has. Once in a while, the dials in my tdc will not move an inch. They seem part of the background, not manageable with the mouse. I can only correct this by exiting the game and starting over. Just saving and reloading doesn't cut it. Anyway, thought you should know. I run GWX2 + OLC115 + OLC wavetextures + skin. |
