The fact that none of the special forces members died is a small miracle.

And Turkey is no friend of Israel, Turkeys army has been, but their politicians were part of orchestrating this whole incident.

They are also becoming closer with Syria, that and friendship with Israel exclude each other.

Actually Turkey should be kicked out of NATO, they will only bring a lot more problems in the future.

I just had a deja vu... :DL

this is what happens when stuf is out of context

this what was i postet

**If you have an army of 50.000

500 of those will either shoot on blue. Commit crimes or break the rules of war...we are humans not robots...**

I did not specific call that incident Blue on blue..my bad in this was i forgot to put in ROE<--- that is werry important...sorry...

My problem now with this topic is what are we debating....a boarding in international waters or how bad the big ugly Israel is <--Irony

I can name a few other headlines about who is big and ugly that will make Israel look like school yard bullies...

I lost my initial goal posting in this and have side tracked like many others. I dont live in Gaza or Israel all i know about it is from the media. Since both sides are throwing mud and i wasent a participant then all i know is hear say. I refuse to debate in publick on whats right or wrong in a conflict i have not grown up with and live with.

But i know boarding a ship in international waters without being in a state of war is piracy, and on that ground i participtatet in this topic.

You know not sure what you're trying to do but the Israelis aren't that happy to be reminded of their ties to the South African apartheid government. It's kind of like a blemish in their history. Nelson Mandela was also good pals with Jasser Arafat and PLO who supported him and the cause of the blacks of SA during his time in prison.

Also would be nice if Zabludowicz paid his taxes to Finland but I guess that's out of the question. How 'patriotic'.

Israel dealt arms with S.A and many other coutures as it needed hard currency to ensure its survival.
Its not that we sit here on ocean of oil.

South Africa was a front in the Cold War, they fought the communist terrorist groups ANC, SWAPO, MPLA and their allies USSR, Cuba.

How are South Africa, Namibia and Angola now doing when they are in power?

Excatly..

And Zabludowiczs have probably done much to advance Finnish interests in the world, mainly US and UK.

And thanks to the latter the cruel apartheid regime is no more.

Surprisingly well, considering the centuries of exploit, wars, famines, etc. that the whole continent has had to endure. Btw, have you visited for example SA?

Then he should pay his taxes to his birth country. Being a gun runner isn't something to be pround over, I'd call that blood money.

Edit. Just to make clear Shlomo is dead now but his child Poju is still alive. Shlomo was the gun runner.

Precious help for precious Palestinians! Precious help for precious Palestinians!

Well, how much worth Palestinians really have for all those oh so noble helpers and donators of goods and items and drugs, you can learn here:

http://muqata.blogspot.com/2010/06/e...r-israeli.html

Another blog, a German, wrote that a fantastic, a remarkable, a sensational five tons (!!!) of the goods loaded on those six ships, comes from Germany. Collecting and organising those spectacular five tons, Pax Christi and other German organisations needed just a bit over one year. That's what seriously meant relief efforts are about!

this picture explains it all and it is %100 true. That terrorist Erdogan and its puppet regime is trying to terminate Turkish nationalism and secular republic he is trying to create a new Iran he is ready to break every revolution rule even he is trying to stain Kemalist army and its honour defender of secular republic and revolution TSK (Turkish Armed Forces) is the biggest interference against Fanatic Islamist Erdogan and its puppet regime may be Skybird knows last "Ergenekon" events started against army in my country but I am saying again AKP, Ergogan and his fanatic Islamist cabinet is not equal to TURKIYE, this was the trap that set by Erdogan to create a tension between Turkiye and Israel, their popularity dwindling against Turkish Nationalism they started to loose popularity and they start to make terrible things for taking Turkiye down with themselves but Turkiye is a secularist country and will stay always secularist, for changing this they have to wipe out Turkish Armed Forces, yes some of my friend says "Turkiye should be kicked of from NATO" don't worry as long as Turkish army exists they will not able to change us to Arabs... and the people died in thet ship by IDF, they are all heavy Islamic fanatics and fanatics of Erdogan.

Very interesting....certainly puts another perspective/viewpoint into the melting pot :hmmm:

I should imagine there will be those out there eager to dismiss this.

Hope the Army moves against AKP, they are only using democratic institutions as a way to Islamic republic where the clergy rules.

that is the easiest way to getting rid of them but this is not a democratic way (coup) if this happens all the EU countries and U.S puts an strict embargo, because of that TSK is holding back all existence they have from politics because they have to defend Turkish benefits and citizens...

Skybird 06-03-10 11:55 AM

I admit I prefer a military ruling in Turkey any time to the AKP, even when that would mean that democracy in Turkey is limited. That is pure pragmatism by me. Though I disagree with you on details, Cambaz, and am a bit sceptic about your blind trust into the army's future role, you have my sympathy, because I believe I have understood where you come from. I would not say that the past two or three confrontations between Erdoghan's missionisers and the army, were victories for the army. I cannot see that trend reversing, but I hope for it.

Schroeder 06-03-10 12:46 PM

@Cambaz

I hope that you and the Turkish people can get rid of the AKP gang. They aren't only a threat to Turkey alone but also to a lot of other European countries.
I wish you luck.
