...then, if you are still having problems...
SH3Cmdr draws the officer face based on the crew "Index" parameters in the latest crew config file. Essentially, if the Crewman is an officer and... Index = 0 or 12 then 'data\Menu\Data\ofaces\Off011.tga' is displayed Index = 1 or 13 then 'data\Menu\Data\ofaces\Off012.tga' is displayed Index = 2 or 14 then 'data\Menu\Data\ofaces\Off013.tga' is displayed Index = 3 or 15 then 'data\Menu\Data\ofaces\Off014.tga' is displayed Index = 4 or 16 then 'data\Menu\Data\ofaces\Off021.tga' is displayed Index = 5 or 17 then 'data\Menu\Data\ofaces\Off022.tga' is displayed Index = 6 or 18 then 'data\Menu\Data\ofaces\Off023.tga' is displayed Index = 7 or 19 then 'data\Menu\Data\ofaces\Off024.tga' is displayed Index = 8 or 20 then 'data\Menu\Data\ofaces\Off031.tga' is displayed Index = 9 or 21 then 'data\Menu\Data\ofaces\Off032.tga' is displayed Index = 10 or 22 then 'data\Menu\Data\ofaces\Off033.tga' is displayed Index = 11 or 23 then 'data\Menu\Data\ofaces\Off034.tga' is displayed Index is anything else, then no image is displayed So the first thing is to ensure that Index is valid, then ensure that none of the "missing" images have names outside of the ones above. If Index is valid and the file name is valid, all I can suggest is that the tga file doesn't have the exact header information that SH3Cmdr looks for. |
Thanks, JScones!
I will check my career as soon as possible and check the crew config file. |

Best regards, Magic:salute: |
I've checked it. The officer had index=24.
Thanks again, JScones, for the hint  LGN1 |
What is the associated image name (Off0**.tga)?
|
It's Off011.tga
Blond guy, without hat, and brown shirt. LGN1 |
Sooo...I wonder if Off011.tga displays if Index=36? Or if Off034.tga displays if Index=35? Etc and so on. Or if Off011.tga is used for any Index over 23?
Meh, I'm too lazy to check. The original logic was based on what existed in the crew_config files at the time, so perhaps there was more broad consideration than just the literal 24 index values that were in use at the time. :hmmm: |
Hi JScones,
it circles. Index=25 is Off012.tga, Index=26 is Off013.tga, and Index=36 is again Off011.tga (these are all I tested). Cheers, LGN1 |
Ahoyy,,
Maybe Dumb Q but why isnt there an Sh4 Commander and Sh5 Commander program?? just like for sh3? cheers:salute: |

Hi JS
I reinstalled SHC and Cfg files. My career Kpt shows but no buttons at bottom of screen. I can't take a screenshot as this Laptop is set up for offline gameing. No internet, antivirus... Nothing to run in background. There's nothing showing to tick to launch my career. No Rollback button or Setting Options button showing. If you can show me a screenshot I can tell you exactly whats not showing |
Nothing is wrong. Jaeson Jones did a marvellous job with his JSGME. But it is to you – the user – to use it in the right way. :salute:
For example, install JSGME in the right folder and give it the opportunity to connect to the SH3-installation (if you've got several installations of SH3, that means, for example, GWX 3.0 Gold, NYGM, LSH3 or WAC). Just “tell” JSGME where it must look for the program files. The installation routine will ask you. I have installed most of all “Super-Mods” mentioned above and didn't have any problem with JSGME. By the way – it's time to say “Thank You” again to Jeason Jones. It runs on a Desktop computer and a Laptop computer. Jeason – what would we have done without your program??? For my person, i must say: NOTHING. I could not work without JSGME. :yeah: Greetings rowi58 |
