I made a new damage model for the Jyunsen B sub, it's on my main FF page, just slip in the sub's directory.

now that looks more like real wakes ;) seen in Webster's torpedo test mission (which I use a lot :) surfaced 5'' and got shot to hell !)

upgraded the damage model and the 3d damage model for the Jyunsen B submarine, unrar and slip in the Jyunsen B submarine directory of the 3.4 mod.

I am polishing up the new I-Boat Damage Model - Jyunsen B damage model, the only areas modified were the spheres and boxes, and I added one new zone copied from Observer's for RFB : the bottom zone, which allows you to sit out a dc attack on the ocean"s floor.

It is what Observer intended, and since I saw numerous reports that it actually was the case in the war, yes you can try and sit it out on the bottom :yep: when there's one that is ;)

All the needed zones have been added to the Jyunsen B :

moved the damage boxes for the torpedo tubes to their actual location.
decided to use Observer's zones.cfg so as to be compatible in the future.

I still have to check my JB file as if recently caused a CTD when trying it out. might be that extra bottom zone, which I'm not sure if it has to be added to any other file than zones.cfg.

Anyways, I will try and use Observer's zones.cfg in the hope of maybe someday being compatible with RFB.

I have moved the stern torpedo room to the front and upper side of the sub, as those that had 8 torpedo tubes had two separate and above one another torpedo rooms.

I am directly working on the damage model so as to include it in the 1.3 version of the IBDM. The .sim has already been altered, the model is nearly ready with a new rudder, the conning tower has been modified accordingly.

Gosh I wanted to drive that sub ever since I read LtCmdr Orita's book "I-Boat Captain" !

no, it's the kaidai 3b textures, and since the sub is bigger (109 m) but mostly longer they don't show right, and I need to fix the hull/tower junction too, but I like it, a good start, but as always my first version ctd.. too many changes at once I did..

so I used the stand alone KD3b and replaced the model, now I have to rechange the rudder, add the kaiten, move the aft tubes to the front, change the boxes etc...

I haven't heard from Peabody in a few day, I'm getting worried... :(

I had ctds with the first version as always... it seems modding is like making crepes : I always undercook the first one..

anyways, here it is in s3d, with the Kaiten on deck and their own textures. And of course, the Hover Gun ;)

I still need to move the tubes etc..
