sorry, I think my post was a bit more strident than I wanted. It's not necessarily a bad idea to run Vista or x64... just that it substantially increases the risk of technical problems. Some folks have very positive experiences, though.

And yes, great amounts of juice are needed. ;)

Great Pics.... Hint: Use your Numb KeyPad, hit the del/. key and it will erase/hide all the dials, HUD, text boxes. You'll get great frame-able pictures.

Last news is that Rubini has been working on a debris mod and NauticalWolf has been working on some terrain textures, but you will have to see that for yourself tonight :cool:

Hi Kriller, can I just ask if PE3 will fix the bug that causes the screen to go black when you enter the Hydrophone station in Uboat Missions?

The bug probably creates problems elsewhere too but this is the only one I know about.

At the moment I am using SH4_1.5_Uboat_freeCamFix to cure the problem. I don't exactly know where this fix can be downloaded but it was kindly sent to me by another Subsim member.

Does that mean that Mav got the camera file ready?

I read somewhere else that a mod of the TMO camera file fixes the problem of the black screen. It's available here: http://hosted.filefront.com/CapVonKeldunk/

Maybe he could investigate that camera mod with his own work, before PE3 is released? :hmm:

Another issue, which I wondered about. It's night, and the moon is high in the sky. I'm looking at a target with periscope and later I look at my sub from water level and the reflections from ship and sub, well they're almost white. On purpose or?

Stock SH4 bug / engine limitation, here is a screenshot with stock SH4, but it looks very strange on the your screenshot. I haven't seen anything like that while playing.
