Earlier today I read the USCG nabbed some Cubans on the high seas trying to make it to the U.S. in inner tubes. They received the same warning if you are caught at sea attempting to illegally enter the U.S. you will be sent back PERIOD. Like the below DHS statement there was no mention of asylum requests or other extenuating circumstances . That surprised the hell out of me. Just get the hell out and don’t bother coming back.
