All party's have failed to deal with the small number of hardcore lazy sods who are proud at all the money they get living it up on benefits. Its about time they had there money stopped and put on food stamps if they refuse to look for work.

Now those who are making the effort to look for work and jumping though hoops following all the rules set down that is a different matter. You follow the rules and make the effort then they should be allowed to keep their benefits. If you cut their benefits they have nothing to loose by sticking two fingers up and saying screw you *. This is the wrong approach to those who are making the effort in these rotten hard times we live in now.


As for the Big society that was a load of tosh right from the start.

I see they are considering proposals to attack housing benefit and family allowance for people with three kids or more.

It has got to the stage now that your government is making Irish politicians seem quite close to sensible on the scale of sheer idiocy.

That has left me confused, if they have made a saving of 4 billion compared to what they had budgeted for how is it that they have already had to borrow an extra 2.7 billion on top of what they have budgeted for?
