Did you see Adventure one, what did you think of it?

Down to the last 40m. Since series season is beginning, I saw only during Friday night, but I am liking the show so far. The all si-fi/supernatural thing! Plus Joanna Lumley, with a blue see trough dress in some angles/shots(:huh:, ah the 70's)!

And you know, one can think that, that universe is almost the same one of Doctor Who, with the so call "elements" could be Time Lords/ladys CIA agents!

We never truly know who they are and who they work for, what we do know is they move in when the corridor of time is breached by time and other things. Steel complains in one episode we should be there before things happen which Sapphire answers who is going to sit around for years waiting. We know there are two groups operators Investigators move in first and if needed the specialists like Silver are called in. We also know there is another group known as the Transuranics who are a higher power and not keen on the likes of Sapphire and Steel. See Adventure Six for the show down.

The TV series may have ended but Sapphire and Steel made a come back on audio books lasting three seasons and introducing other elements like Gold and Ruby. A mix of classic TV and modern story lines.

As I said before some where here in the forum, our TV mainly bought si-fy series from the US (never show Doctor Who - only saw when had cable TV do to BBC prime and it was in 1995...). Space 1999 is one exception in science fiction and possible the kids shows (my father liked stringray and thunderbirds)! :03:

I just watched 'The Girl Who Died', and didn't think it was that bad. It wasn't that good, either; about on a par with the Matt Smith episode 'A Town Called Mercy'.

No, I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either. And it was fun seeing Masie Williams again. I'll be watching the next one.

Okay, I just watched last night's episode, 'The Woman Who Lived', and it was fun. More discussions on the downside of immortality, a reference to a Fifth Doctor episode and a reference to a former companion.

Not great, but pretty good. I'll give it a C+.

Yup - I didn't think the last two episodes were too bad. The Tyburn scene in the last episode was quite well done, I thought - there is historical evidence of the condemned man cracking jokes on the gallows. Doing it properly would have required a much larger crowd though, as hangings attracted the sort of numbers you'd now see at a premier football match...

Just finished watching part one of the zygon invassion and this one was alright part from Kate head of UNIT wearing high heels waving a gun around! High heels and guns don't go well together, lets hope part two holds up.

What do you mean. I've seen a woman outrun a T-rex on high heels :O:

But not waving a gun... that's the key element!:D

I liked the episode, but can see that that plane is going to land and Kate is more that meets the eye. I wonder what her father would have done...:hmmm:
