and btw, Now my Mission is done
and im returning to base and when im in the base were do i place my sup to end this patrol? cuz i dont get a clue of it?

Draka 09-26-10 12:24 PM

Short answer: once within 30km or so of you home port, hit Esc key and choose End Patrol - dock at .....

Longer answer - do the above only AFTER you have properly backed into an empty wharf/sub pen, depending on your base/year! LOL!

Those links might be in posts that were made before some kind of forum update or server change, so the URLs may all be null and void. It doesn't mean the items you're looking for no longer exist, just that the old links to them don't work.

If no one can point you to a new URL for them I would suggest going to the Downloads section and searching for the mods by name or by the name of the modder and see what comes up.

If you click the ? and then select a tool on the nav map, it will overlay a compass on your cursor. makes it nice to plot bearings.

Hi.
I have a question about wazoo's tutorial. "Manual Charting While Moving" says
that we have to mark where we are now and draw a line to calculate enemy
ship's speed and HDG.but,if i apply real navigation mod,how should i execute
his tutorial?and did real captains do charting while his U-boat is moving?
i think it almost impossible unless they have a exactly accurate
inertial navigation system.
Thanks.

Hi all!
Having recently bought SL3, and joined the forum – like those before me I’d just like to pay homage to those who have created various mods etc., and to those who help keep the forum running, it’s all above and beyond the call of duty! There is just so much information here it’s hard to take it all in, Thanks! :salute:

However, also like those before me, I’ve a couple of questions before I start to wear my peaked cap backwards & play SH3 for real!!

I’ve installed GWX3 & SH3 Commander, downloaded some gramophone packs, and installed SH3Gen. I was going to download the SH3 Patrol Mod, but could someone just explain a little more on what it does and whether it is a worthwhile installation?

Finally, I read the interesting thread on Neutral ship policies and decided I wanted to change the basic.cfg file settings, but when I go to prog files>ubi>SH3>Data>cfg>basic.cfg and then try to open it, I get this message: “Windows cannot open this file”. :arrgh!: Am I looking in the right place?!

Many thanks in advance for any replies!
Steve.

PS Would it be worth having a “newby question” sticky to save the “newby guide and helpful stuff” sticky getting bogged down with questions like this one?!!

you should be able to open it with the Notepad application in your Accessories folder

welcome aboard
