You spray 2.5 drops of saliva per word.

^That can't be right, "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" must have more drops than the word "bollocks" does, it's bloody fake news again. :O:

Your eyes can detect a candle flame 1.7 miles away.
In the USA, Candles cause an estimated 15,600 house fires, 150 deaths, and 1,270 injuries each year.

Statistics don't tell us if those people were Blind.

The American incarnation of Mother’s Day was created by Anna Jarvis in 1908 and became an official U.S. holiday in 1914.
Jarvis later denounced the holiday’s commercialization and spent the latter part of her life trying to remove it from the calendar.

I've been by the home of Jarvis and her Mother in West Virginia.
So 2 for 1 useless facts.

Learning fom others mistakes saves pain!

The famous Percy Shelley, the John Lennon of his time, drowned sailing his new sailboat and washed up on the Italian coast ...some fortnight later... not looking as good as in the contemporary painting of his beachside cremation. My great-grandfather drowned similarly on the St Lawrence river testing his new boat: in front of his wife and my grandmother. Naturally I tend to recollect these things when aboard the 35+ year-old Catalina in the Carquinez Strait!:arrgh!:
