Binoc targeting: mostly aft gun will fail, main gun sometimes
free picking: seems no problem so far. I don´t use that way so often. I´m the Kaleu! :arrgh!:

I was at it again over coffee

I can improve handling but there is a speed penalty always.
15 knts down over 50% in hard over turns but in the slolom
she sure tracks like shes on rails these are six second rudder
reversals at the end. I'd like to say that Longer Wakes mod
isnt just beautiful its totally useful in the physics tests. Not
done yet the speed penalty is still too much.

Hey mush another small possible prob with the 1.3.1 uber mod. Tonight i sank a whaling ship in BF14 using forward deck and AA guns.
Screenie below now the weird bit is this i got the target destroyed message and the yipee from the crew and heres the but, it never showed on my map as the wee red broken ship and did not register on my Skippers log.
It was a british ship and the war was on i was kinda surprised by this however this is the second time in 2 nights its happened. Its my first patrol which ive just finished after sinking 3 convoys screenie below and putting 254000 tons of enemy shipping planes and rubber ducks on the bottom it could be a prob with GWX but not to sure if any one else has came across this prob so far?:hmm:

And my convoy kills:

Lee I do not know what the possible causes of missing wreck icon or tally failure are I have not had these symptoms but I dont have a campaign on
the go with uber.

It is my suspicion that these two symptoms are not directly related
to uberboot but are from another cause.

I dont know this yet but will look into it as best I can.
there were some threads on these symptoms last week
and as far as I can remember they were not uberplayers.

leeclose 03-22-07 09:14 PM

Yup i was thinking there was a outside cause but hey i thought i would let ya know mate hopefully its some one elses fault and we can blame them and point fingers at them:rotfl:

Mush Martin 03-22-07 09:51 PM

That would be most refreshing lee

fascinated though I am by the fingerprint sworls
on your right fore finger:hmm:

Take a good close look at the details here.

If my remembrance doesn´t fool me...this is a known stock problem. I had this sometimes with SH3 stock, with TGW1.1 and with GWX.
Take it as "Sinking not observed" and go on hunting.
With last nights patrol i kicked 306000 enemy tons into the garbage can and some planes....who cares about a single ship? :D

You know PL I cant help but feel that you really have caught the
spirit of the thing somehow.

as for the pic above the turn began in the same half second as the
torpedo launch so I could use the stopwatch to measure performance
the turn and the clock start at the same time in the picture the
ship has the rudder hard over the speed indicated is sustainable
in the hardover turn.
(80 seconds to complete circuit)

It doesnt show in this pic at all but I also lowered how deep
the boat sits in the water a little to give a slightly more sinister looking
trim. the only effect of this will be waves in blue water storms but
should be about the same for that as a IXB is (inconsequential)

Now this raises the question in my mind that as far as
campaigning and M/P missions go shouldnt we further
not lesser limit the ammo loadouts to make competition
a little tighter buisness.?????????????????????

leeclose 03-23-07 09:03 AM

hmm yeah it could be a possibility Mush theoreically i could have stayed out and took on another convoy maybe 2 but i prefer to take the escorts out with eels first hmm very intresting point:yep:

PhantomLord 03-23-07 02:08 PM

Hmm...okay. Lets do the million tonight :arrgh!:

Last patrol: 29. Sept. - 29. Okt. 1939 (31 days), sunk 305674 tons. Promoted to Kapitänleutnant. Honured with EK II and EK I.

Tonight i´ll go out from Wilhelmshaven for turn 2...

Ammo is more than enough. I´m back in port with 2/3 of my ammo left.

1. Taking eels for escorts
2. surfacing in convoy middle
3. shoot everybody down within 30 minutes
