Anything is possible in the match, except maybe a US victory that really plows under Germany. But a US win is in the cards, as well as a draw, a German marginal win and a German decisive win.

I read that the US team cannot compete with the technical and tactical skill of the Germans. The first I beleive, the latter remains to be seen. I also read that the US team is tip-top fitness condition. Seems they are able to set up a fight.

Suarez got banned the third time for third time biting somebody. That guys needs to consult a psychiatrist.

One way for the US to improve their chances is to put pressure on the German midfield, Lahm and Khedira.

Hustling and shutting them down and forcing them into ball turnovers will aid the US team.

Now for the cynical pessimism of an American.

Germany will destroy us, as said above, America only has fitness on its side (not bad for the second fattest country), maybe we will have more in the tank at the end. But Germany is like a BMW, finely tuned, all details thought of, solid and reliable.

All we can do is push push push, and maybe some of that cowboy luck will show up.




I will be rooting for Portugual to win, hopefully they do not score more than 4 goals.
