Cons won toss and are batting, no surprises there.

Jimbuna 08-21-13 04:57 AM

Suppose not but I'm wondering why another Ashes series is commencing in November when the competition is supposed to be biennial? :hmm2:

Greed for gold perhaps?

BossMark 08-21-13 05:00 AM

^^
Not sure, maybe its to give the Cons a chance to win :haha:

Jimbuna 08-21-13 05:13 AM

Well no seriously, a supposedly biennial competition taking place only 3 months after the previous one just doesn't make sense.

If anything it will only detract from the importance of it.

BossMark 08-21-13 05:24 AM

Got to agree it should be next year down under, going to have a look into this see if I can find a reason

11-1

Jimbuna 08-21-13 08:38 AM

141-2 Watson on 96 and making the most of what some people reckon is his last chance.

BossMark 08-22-13 01:29 AM

Still very quite from down under even with Cons on top (up to now) 307-4 at close.

Jimbuna 08-22-13 04:54 AM

First day certainly belonged to the Aussies...we need early wickets today.

Jimbuna 08-22-13 05:35 AM

Rain is delaying the start.

Jimbuna 08-25-13 06:45 AM

England are currently 311-6 so the follow on has gone as well as any faint hope of a result.

England win the series 3-0 and retain the Ashes :sunny:

Tis very strange if not understandable our Aussie friends have vanished :)

Into a deep dark hole somewhere down under but they will be back when they think that we have forgotten :haha:

Well remember this post come November should they gain the upper hand in the next Ashes series that will be commencing just three months after this one

Match abandoned with England needing 21 runs in 4 overs to achieve a record breaking 4-0 series win.

Sad to see the blatant time wasting by the Aussies and their captain Clarke whinging to the umpires repeatedly.

Well it certainly detracts from the series.
