You could make people believe the Earth was flat back in the day, remember? You can make people believe into anything, Irvin Yalom selling "When Nietzsche Wept" as phisosophy when it belongs to the trash bin, I mean, the entertainment pile. You can make people believe the landing was real even if it was false and vice-versa, and if the landings were fake, there would be a conspiracy to prove they were real, there will always be a conspiracy attempting to prove some event actually happened the other way around.
I think it takes less creativity to send 3 blokes to the closest rock to the Earth than proving Walker Bush was behind 9/11. |
Re: First U.S. Moon landing real or fake?
I was watching a tape of the moon landing during an Ion Storm the other night and I saw something strange.
http://img123.imageshack.us/img123/9...landing2xt.jpg I think that’s Buzz Aldrin with a goatee, and I have a feeling that Neal Armstrong met with an unfortunate accident. |
Whether we went to the moon or not it certainly helped develop a lot of new technology and funneled massive amounts of tax dollars back into the pockets of American workers and companies; especially skilled workers. We could probably use another project like that before everything but service jobs disappear. I also see it as something that helped unite many Americans in a common belief/goal and one that was not based on excluding certain groups from something or inflicting one group's standards and rules on everybody else.
I do have a nice piece of moon landing memorablia. My grandfather was a technical writer after retiring from the Air Force and worked on the manuals for the Saturn V rockets. He has a 6 inch thick volume sitting on the coffee table. |

It was real and I have always believed so. I've yet to find any reasonable argument to find otherwise. But I'm always open to being entertained by any conspiracy theories that people might have.

The only reason we went to the Moon is because we thought aliens looked like this back in the 1960's!

Face on Mars, moon landings, and more. The interesting thing about this guy is that he doesn't claim the moon landings were faked, he argues that they did happen. But, according to him, they changed the pictures to hide the huge alien buildings they found there. A nice change from the usual crowd of Apollo deniers. |
