Just a quick question for which i couldn't find an answer.
I currently have 2 careers saved. In the case of one of my careers i was in the middle of a patrol when i installed the latest SH3Cmdr ( By the way, it's absolutely great  ! ) and later on when i finished this patrol the total tonnage for it did not show in the main screen of the personal file. But the strange thing is that all the details for that patrol can be found after accessing the particular patrol log. As i continued on other patrols everything shows up in the main screen of the personnel file except the numbers for the patrol i was on when i installed SH3Cmdr. I've been comparing what i think are the sources on which the personnel file is based but can't find any obvious problems, so i don't have a clue as to why it's no adding up the numbers. Any idea what it could be ? It's not a big deal but it still kind of irritates me  Thanks in advance |
random
I have a question concerning adding to the random folder. What file structure should one use? I added some folders with random cloud formations, but I don't know if I did it right.

Thanks so much for SH3 commander2.4. It just keeps getting better. The seasonal weather is outstanding. Winter in the North Atlantic really sucks!!

Reading one of the above posts, i'm wondering if having selected 'realistic' as the 'use crew' option when starting a career has something to do with the problem. I'm going to try starting a new career, set that to default and have my fatigue model selected as usual. I'll see how it goes..... EDIT - back out to sea and same problem. Zero fatigue. I checked the 'crew fatigue models.cfg' and all seems to be in order. My model is in exactly the same format as all those above it as far as I can tell and the model has been selected for use in SH3 commander. There's no real reason why it shouldn't be working. It's exactly the same crew config file I was using with the previous version of SH3 commander and it worked fine then... :hmm: Perhaps I can email you the file and see if you can make any sense of why it won't work. |
Only report was some resets to language and/or text display; also some of the gameplay realism(s) reset but those easy enough to change back to my preferences. :know:
Thus... Alles sehr gut, danke mein Herr  :lurk: |

BTW, by R2.3 I mean SH3Cmdr Release 2.3. And no, selecting realistic crew will not have any affect on the fatigue model you use. |

Unfortunatly not. I was in the middle of patrol 41 at the time of installation. It's a career i started from the first day since buying SHIII and i intend to see it through until the end of the war :yep: Much appreciate it if you have any idea what it could be. |

1. Rollback SH3Cmdr, then reload the save patrol straight in SH3. Finish and see what you end up with this time. 2. Sacrifice the patrol and restart from scratch (note, just the patrol NOT the career). 3. Manually update your Patrols.cfg and Careers.cfg files based on your log_40.cfg and keep going. Unfortunately, you've been exposed to an SH3 bug...generally, it only appears on the first patrol if you upgrade before starting. Curiously, did you upgrade before starting the patrol in question? |
Thank you very much for me pointing in the right direction  I never did check the patrols.cfg....
I was looking for anything odd in the logs and career files and i never figured the problem might be in the patrols.cfg. I've checked the file out and all values for that patrol were listed as 0  So, now that i have adjusted those everything is OK again. To answer your question, i did not get any upgrade before this patrol. So i don't understand how this could have happened but it's solved now ! Thanks again. |
Don't forget to update Careers.cfg too. It's cumulative.

? Any changes made to terrain display - colors?
I am not really sure if it was the rollback, deletion of old then new install of Commander but now I am very pleased so far with the ocean/weather. North Atlantic looks very close to what I recall from trips to Iceland - the sun/sky/clouds even the water color. TY again :lurk: |
 I must have done something wrong, I downloaded the latest version, I input the right date and type of sub (Single mission) launched SH3 then when the mission started I got a black sky/sun and a funny colour sea.
I rolled back and launched SH3 the normal way and everything was OK again, what have I done wrong or what have I missed? |
:hmm: might help out if we post some specs if we have contrasting video results with new Commander.
I am using ATi based x800xt PE running (2.6.87) Omega drivers. Maybe color issue related to card? :lurk: |
Jscones,
thanks for your continuing work on the excellent SH3Commander! now there's a little problem with the new Comander 2.4. If I choose realistic crew I have a *speechless* 1WO. That means I don't hear voice from him. this only happens with "realistic crew" setting. Problem seems to be in the crew configs of SH3Commander for the realistic setting: In all files the CREW_MEMBER_0 has a value VoiceIdx=0 It shouldn't be zero. As Crew_Member_0 is always the 1WO there's no speech assigned to him. Could you check into this please? |
Finally I'm back at my SHIII machine, and ah - there it is.
It'll be a pleasure to start up a new career with it (even if it's part for testing mods) |

It does now force the correct water type for 29 Flotilla campaigns, but that's about it. |

You'll need to: 1. Rollback SH3Cmdr 2. Disable whatever mod you have installed that modifies scene.dat 3. Re-enable the same mod 4. Try again |
