In the latest news, as a result of the disastrous flooding in England the government has requested everyone to calm down as they simply don't have the financial resources to help all of the flood victims at the moment.

In other news, the government is fully supporting the 40 billion pound HS2

Hmm now that's an idea. Why don't you just let all the water gurgle off through the channel tunnel, towards France ..
:D

Read all about it...Dave buys votes for general election.

Flooded out victims will not have to pay council tax this year.

I suspect that is the least of peoples worries, those that are affluent enough to own property in the area.

I suspect what would be greatly appreciated by them would be government intervention with the insurance companies to fast track claims and remedial measures.

More chance getting blood out of a stone. I know these bastards tie you up in legal red tape as far as the eye can see, these swine gladly take your money but when you need it back they do not want to part from all that money.

TarJak 02-20-14 04:18 PM

You mistake the insurance industry for a service to its customers instead of to itself.

BossMark 02-21-14 01:59 AM

Insurance companies are like bankers they couldn't give a toss about anyone apart from making a load of money for themselves.

Jimbuna 02-21-14 07:50 AM

True that but money will always make money.

TarJak 02-21-14 09:33 PM

Unless the money doesn't exist in the first place. Northern Rock Goldman Sachs et al.
