There are audio stories of Dr Who and off shoot stories from here...

Search amazon as well for cheaper prices, I bought all the SAPPHIRE & STEEL stories at a cheaper price.

Don't know what the Dr Who ones are like, have wondered about buying a couple of stories.

Today I start my bi-annual rotation again. I'm still watching the new Doctor Who at night, as well as Torchwood and Sarah Jane, but once I'm off Subsim I plan to make breakfast and watch An Unearthly Child. I have the disc with the original unaired pilot, so I'll probably watch that as well.

Platapus 01-01-13 11:17 AM

I never got in to the Dr. Who series (not a big scifi fan), But I did watch it briefly about a million years ago.

I did develop a fondness for Lalla Ward (evil smirk)

I definitely have a fetish for women wearing neckties. :yeah:

Sailor Steve 01-01-13 11:20 AM

So did Tom Baker. :sunny:

Well at least for a while. Maybe in the TARDIS a 16 month marriage is a long time. :haha:

Sailor Steve 01-01-13 01:57 PM

For some actors it certainly is. Or maybe they were married for 300 years in the TARDIS, but got back only 16 months after they left.

What I find interesting is who the lovely Lady Sarah has been married to for the past twenty years.

Her character's name was Lady Romana, and she married Richard Dawkins, not a mod.

Thank you so much for belaboring the obvious.

And yes, Sarah "Lalla" Ward is indeed the daughter of a peer of the realm which makes her a 'Lady' for real.

...oops

Did anyone see those new Cybermen? Pretty impressive looking things. I wonder if they're from the Parallel universe or Mondas? :hmm2:

Sailor Steve 01-01-13 04:15 PM

Mondas, I hope. I hate the whole "parallel universe" version.

On the other hand I just rewatched the two "Doctor as human" episodes, and I noticed that the Cybermen he drew in his "dreambook" looked very much like the raggedy, clothy originals.
