Wow!...I knew the site was something special and Iv always been a proud member, but this is really amazing.

The people on this site have always shown that forums dont have to be about flamming, trolling etc (Just look at the Subsim Army of zombies).

But this takes it to a new level...

Many thanks to monaro66 for sharing your thoughts. For a very private person, its a great accomplishment to share this with all of us.
In my book that also makes you a great man - thanks for the trust.

BTW...driving in New York etc...come to India...then we can talk :arrgh!:

Welcome aboard! I'm exceedingly glad a program by Privateer and the rest of the crew here at SS makes lire a bit more shiny for you. :sunny:

Thanks for sharing part of your story here monaro66. I met Privateer face to face a couple fo years ago and can honestly say he's a gentleman and a scholar with some skills I can only dream of having.

Its fantastic that the work he's done has had such an impact on you and given you a spark to keep on going.

If you need a place to have a chinwag, then as you've seen Subsim will welcome you with open arms, even if your not that into submarines. You won't find a better place to spend your time once you've gotten to know some of the locals it's kid of like an international pub with no beer. (Or at least BYO).:03:

Just exchanged E-mail with monaro66.

He's doing great and asked me to help him help a friend with some business software.
:)

I'm pretty impressed that he would suggest me as a possible solution to the situation.

Most people, when makeing a suggestion concerning me, could not post those in an open forum without a Forum Cop

busting them.
:haha:

I know he's a private type Guy and I never wanted to intrude with stupid questions like.....
You OK? and so on.
I kind of watched his websites and was a bit worried when I saw no updates for awhile.

His E-mail to me explained things and I have to say it greatly lifted my spirits!

I still say the award is owed to SubSim as a whole.
And I'm a bit embarrassed to tell him about it.
