Why do you even have a 2nd profil with the same name? |
Those that can are almost expected to hack the base code.
It can be done to a certain extent yes. It takes a level of knowledge and skill that goes beyound what the above average hackers can do. It also takes MASSIVE amounts of time and resources. The less resources, the greater the time scale goes up. Starting from SH3 there were problems. SH4 compounded those and added a few new ones. SH5 took those and threw in a whole new slew of WTF's. Aside from completeing a little bit of work to get the Exports the way I want? I'm not concerned with SH5 any longer. As I see it, it was a prime factor in destroying GWX 4. And this (SH5) is what we got. |

Hi,
Been playing SHIV and a little SH3 for 3 years now. About 650ish hours logged in SHIV alone. Been lurking on these SH5 forums every since SH5 was released. Been waiting for the game to get to playable state with mods and patches. Based on this thread, finally decided to chew on this thing called Silent Hunter 5 so purchased SH5 on Steam. Even after the popular big mod install am very disappointed. Tried stock then the big mod pack. Nice job on the modded UI interface by folks here in subsim! But the game engine itself just seems like a turd to me. Can polish a turd really shinny (With mods), but underneath this thing smells like a turd. Worst game quality I have played in many years, and I play many games besides sub sims. This engine has potential, but the current state really seems like soft turds. Not counting the mods which did seem to help playability, I would vote the base engine of SH5 1 out of a 10 scale. |
