So when will your new TV come home.....
|
When I placed the order they estimated it would be here Tuesday, now it's been changed to Monday and I've already got a tracking number. Plus UPS is listing it at around 30 lbs, what a relief. I should be able to manage that easily enough. :yeah:
I'm off to look at the schematic of the input/output jacks to see if I need or want to order any new cables to upgrade my video connections. |

No, not to hook up external components. I have the cables from those that I was already using, I just want to make sure there is no newer, better kind of connection that I'll now be able to use with the newer TV.
It doesn't look like it, though, as the "newer" connections now are not ones that my DVD player and whatnot were designed to use anyway. :haha: Looks like I'll have plenty of HDMI options though if/when I upgrade to Blu-ray or decide to add something else. (By which time HDMI will have become old news, lol, if it isn't already.) |
It seems that this is already "sucks" even before it has arrived, :O:

But that's the way it goes, unless you upgrade everything you've got within a short enough period of time, there's always at least one piece of gear that's using some older form of something. And even if you do upgrade everything at once, the top-of-the-line doesn't stay that way forever. |
True words! :yep:
