Simple rules I try to keep while in cyberspace:

* Try to be on good terms with everybody.
* Never argue to the point where its getting nowhere and just ends up flinging angry words at each other.
* Respect the moderators: They are there cause they earned it and have direct contact with the admin. No point arguing.
* What you might think is a funny post you just put up might be an insult to others. Be careful here. ;)
* And last but not least that X up top in the right hand corner is there for a reason. Use it if your having a bad day. :DL

Very good rules, kiwi. I wish more people would adhere to the last one; it saves the forum a lot of mess, the moderators a lot of work, and saves the poster a lot of embarassment and apologies after he or she calms down and/or sobers up. A lot of effort is wasted and reputations ruined by posting when drunk or angry.

One more rule. You don't have to hist the post button.

I can't tell you how many times I write scathing posts and then decide not to post them. It helps, you feel better writing your feelings down but you don't piss off people by posting them.

You too!! I have written some very long posts only to delete them knowing full well that I would be attacked and have to respond with a lot more posts, so I opt for the easy way out! - coward!!:yep:
But sometimes I just can't let it go, I become obsessed and turn into the ultimate forum junkie, and nothing stops me:

Yea that was a few years ago when I was here every day before my long break, what a wast of life that was. I'm not here everyday now, glad I got my life back. :yeah:

The reason I faded from other forums but stick with Subsim is, quite simply, the number of people who are willing to act as if we were actually sitting in a room talking to each other. I find respect, reason and companionship here like no other internet site I've been on.

Rgr that from me also :yep:

In most cases they can be combined with work and leisure, although time is not always sufficient for forums and work, there's a live outside also..
