Voted "Ja", because I have mostly no problems in reading your posts, but sometimes it is hard for me to write in english. A wrong chosen word / translation can change the meaning of a post. So I would sometimes be happy to post in my native language.

I am torn about this.. on the other hand it would be nice, but then again as it was mentioned before, many Germans do speak English in one form or another.

But then again, it may be a valuable resource for the whole community.

Tough decision. Why not test it? Open a German forum and let it run for x month to see if it really is worth it? From the contributions and participation you will be able to gauge the impact and acceptance.

@ Brag : Ton français est plus ou moins aussi bon que mon anglais, le principal étant qu'on te comprenne.

Notre langue n'est pas la plus facile, mais quand on a de la patience... :|\\

Bonne chance pour la suite ! :sunny:

wienerschnitzel, ja. Seems like it would be more helpful for all in the long run.

FIREWALL 02-26-10 10:57 AM

Next thing you know the Brits will want their own language forum. :har::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Seriously I'm for it.

urfisch 02-26-10 11:14 AM

nice feedback regarding a german sub forum here...by the way: WE are the builders of the worlds best submarines in ww2...and actually a nation building high tech h2 uboats today.

;)

FIREWALL 02-26-10 11:20 AM

And we were the Worlds best builders of ships to sink them. :03:

Ça nous rappelle aussi toute la diversité et la nécessité d'une certaine tolérance. :hmmm::03:

It reminds us all the diversity and the necessity for a certain tolerance.

I voted YES, because the situation at the german UBI forum is not very satisfying for some reasons.

We have some good forums here in good old europe, but they are all more ore less attached to clans. (AOTD /9te/Marine Sims)

There are many talented modders in the UBI forum and I think we all could benefit from each other, meeting in one forum. even if there is a small language barrier.

I am looking forward to see a german forum here at subsim.com :)

Not even sure about the technical advance side of things, certainly the lack of man power, lack of funds, bad decisions from the top and the Enigma machine being captured moreso...

Tout les Francophones ici sont bilingues. C'est mon allemand que je dois pratiquer. :arrgh!:

Im from germany, but voted no.

If you ask Neal... I would prefer to have a German internet connection, with their reliability of connection and speed.:03:

But forum addition would be just fine... just to compensate all the members leaving the Subsim... due to it's inevitable OSP future.
:shifty:

Schultzy 02-26-10 11:59 AM

Jo, bin dafür.

Why should anybody be leaving? Maybe they're just not going to post in the SH5 forums then. ;)
