Dood we call it "soccer", you can call it anything you want in your own language.

Haplo: Those "Cuban" MLB players are mostly American citizens. Immigrant nation here, remember?

Seriously though, any injury in the NFL, fake or real, costs the "victims" team a valuable time out. Therefore most of the drama queen stuff is kept off the field, where it should be.

How many EXTRA time outs do they get in addition to all that time of rubbing each others butts in the circle?

Too much dead time in handegg. Dull. Boring. Dumb.

Extra time outs? By that statement I have to wonder if you've even ever seen a football game.

I feel the same way about soccer.

I wonder how many of you football fans remember this infamous shot of Vinnie Jones and a young Paul Gascoine :DL

I tried to get into soccer but watching it just bores the life out of me.

American NFL-style football, I enjoy watching.

Rugby or any other sport that's more like NFL football, only without all the pads and so much downtime, I enjoy most of all. Sadly I can't seem to find any of it on the teevee channels I have here.

I remember back when ESPN first started up, and had zero affiliations/contracts with the big US sports leagues. So we got all kinds of stuff from all over the world. Rugby, Aussie rules, World Cup skiing...

Once I watched a rugby match - might've been the All Blacks playing somebody - and I swear I saw a guy with his ears duct-taped to his head. I can only assume it was to keep them from getting ripped off.

*sniffle*

Good times, good times.

Good times, good times.

Correct on both counts. Rugby props often tape their ears to prevent them being ripped off:
