Haplo: Those "Cuban" MLB players are mostly American citizens. Immigrant nation here, remember? |

Seriously though, any injury in the NFL, fake or real, costs the "victims" team a valuable time out. Therefore most of the drama queen stuff is kept off the field, where it should be. |

I wonder how many of you football fans remember this infamous shot of Vinnie Jones and a young Paul Gascoine :DL

I tried to get into soccer but watching it just bores the life out of me.
American NFL-style football, I enjoy watching. Rugby or any other sport that's more like NFL football, only without all the pads and so much downtime, I enjoy most of all. Sadly I can't seem to find any of it on the teevee channels I have here. I remember back when ESPN first started up, and had zero affiliations/contracts with the big US sports leagues. So we got all kinds of stuff from all over the world. Rugby, Aussie rules, World Cup skiing... Once I watched a rugby match - might've been the All Blacks playing somebody - and I swear I saw a guy with his ears duct-taped to his head. I can only assume it was to keep them from getting ripped off. *sniffle* Good times, good times. |
