Oct, 1939 Nw of the Shetlands, in transit to AM41 (orders..non-SH3Commander influenced) VIIB, third patrol saved at 2109, sea "can't man the deck guns" rough, visibility moderate lost a coastal freighter due to the sea upheaving it OVER the torpedeo at the stern....decided to head back towards patrol area for bigger fish |
