For sure it smells and looks like **** every single day that goes through in this bloody failure for men to live together, but the main problem with your plan my friend, in my own opinion of course, is that your human nature as my own human nature is not meant to make you or me able to stand alone in the Wild, unless you meet some people somewhere and start all over again a new life.
As human beings, we are all doomed to live together though we do not share much and regarding to Death, remember about mods, it comes when it comes
I have been travelling into Wild Africa for ten years now and since my first step on the Sacred Soil of Mankind birth, I have been convinced that one day, I will go and settle there so that my deeper dream comes true: enlist as a volunteer for Wildlife preservation and do my best to allow future generations to witness the true meaning of Life from the wild side (sounds like a Monty Python movie title ... :hmm: )

We pushed too it too far as they say but there should be one place in this bloody world where you might find out what you are looking for.
And for this, friendo, I wish you all the best.
Remember that your strength is your mind, your body will follow the way.

I have much respect for what you are about to do. Means you have been thinking about leaving for a long time and now it is time to pack up.

Take care, go forward and moreover, keep your eyes wide opened to enjoy every single second of your journey.

Good luck friendo

Geez, do you give new meaning to the word 'auslaufen' or not!? What a journey do you have in mind! Must be a hell of a reason to make you do that. Respect. I do hope you'll make it to get here in the netherlands in the end. Wherever you go, follow your nose. It has the uncanny ability to guide you to pleasant places. More often than not, those that resonate with your heart.

Safe journey!

People together is one thing. But society as it is in big cities is sh!t.
Life is simple, people like to complicate it. They like to make a game out of it. Like a rpg or something. Fill life with stupid rules, cos they think it's more fun. Well, I dont, I hate it.

I want out... Want to go out there, be on my own, no maps, no watch, no television, nothing... you know? Nature!

Perhaps once in a while get together with a bunch of hippies, cos like you said, nobody is made to live alone. But sure I love to stay alone for some periods of time. Like in the game "the sims", my "social" bar takes days, even weeks to get empty, I just love to be on my own...

You know... I've always felt like there was something wrong with the world, like a splinter in my mind... I just couldn't explain or understand why I didn't like to do anything, and why I always felt that carrers are a torture, a pain in the ass... After watching that movie, I finally found my place in this planet... that was trully an inspirational movie, basically saved my life. I was really starting to think about killing myself in the last few years.

That reminds me of a book I read. A favourite author of mine wrote a book in which a particularly nasty character eventually dies and meets Death. Death is a tall skeleton in dark robes, with a scythe in one hand. He looks like that because that's how people think he should look. It's that sort of book. Anyway, Death takes this man's soul to a place where there are no other souls, and before leaving the man there for a hundred years Death turns to him and says:

You may have heard the expression that "hell is other people". In time you will discover that this is not the case.

Want my advice ? Life is simple indeed if you know how to handle it right. But I don't think you found it simple though. Honestly I think you skipped a lesson of life about living in a society and being happy with it. You may blame big cities or the whole world, but that wount bring you inner peace. And deffinetly wount solve your personal problems. "Stupid rules" ? and law perhaps (if you ment that way) were created to push out chaos from a society and to create order amongst it.. You may call life a game, a drama movie, a comedy or whatever you like, but how you call it wount change the point of it. And from my point of view it's useless to dig into it searching for the meaning of life you know.

You want to get out ? to feel the nature ? Cool! Soon you'll going to find out that nature itself is much more cruel stuff than fullfiled, happy life in society. Of course not everybody fits into society. For those people the cause of it in most cases are mistakes made in their past or accidents (crimes, drugs/alchohol abuse, houseless ppl, suffering from serious mental or physical illnes).

You mentioned you had thoughts of commiting a suicide ?
Do you feel outcasted or missunderstood freguently in RL ?
Do you feel lonely and having difficulties in finding other part of you in RL?
Are You trying to keep things right but your struggle with it leads to knockdown usually ?
Do you think you have a bad carma, which limits your ratings in success ?

If answers are yes you really need help believe me. No nature or separation from other human beings wount bring you any good while you in such mood about life. Remember - nature does not like weak animals or other weakened lifeform.
Nature is having LSD drug effect. If you try it while in good mood and high spirit it will boost that effect even more. But if you feel sad, bad, or having other negative vibes it will pull you down. So in other words nature helps for those people who can enjoy life itself and everywhere.

So my advice is don't do this if you care for your life. :nope:

But if you so desperated to leave the home. Get a flight to Tibet, find a monastery and ask the permission to stay. Oriental soul medicine is way better option than loosing yourself in the woods :) You should be able to feel better after half a year.

Philipp_Thomsen 12-17-08 06:00 AM

I plan to do that (monastery, somewhere in the orient) in some years to come.

Problem is not 100% the society, I have a big share of the guilt.

First, I hate to work. It's a torture to me. I see no point.
Second, I think that working to pay bills and having children to perpetuate the mankind is absurdly redundant and spending a life with that as the main objective is wasting a life, passing blank. You only live once, you cant afford to have fun in another life. This is it.

So, I never wanted to get married (marriage don't exist anymore, it's all about sex, but that's another discussion), and I don't want kids too. In 50 years, this world will be total chaos, a hell to live in, so I don't want to put new people out there just to suffer. Consider how much life got worse in the past 20 years. Consider that this worsening is exponencial; the more people, the more people. In 50 years, the world will be a real hell to live in. If you guys have the time, watch a docummentary named "The 11th hour". A lot of truth is keep away from the midia so it don't cause panic. I'll go north, to the coldest place I can find. In 50 years, it will be kinda hot, but still nice. That IF I live 50 years, which I really don't want to. The only real thing keeping me alive is my curiosity, I really don't have any focus, any objectives, any purposes.

Like I said, I'm the one with problems.

I hate to work too. But if you find a job that suits your likeings it stops being a pain in the ass. Plus you get money for a decent living. I don't see anything wrong in it acctually. do you ? Currently I'm jobless myself, looking for about any job cuz due to financial crysis it's very hard to find what I want, and yeah, bills needs to get paid, and I like please myself going to cinema from time to time, have a tasty meal, get drunk from time to time, I just want to enjoy life and without any money ? Lets be realistic it's kind of impossible right ?

Your paranoid view on the world future is kicking your ass I see too :) Who fooled you so ? Relax there wont be any armagedon. Think positive! Get rid of that insane panic you have. I know the media and sciencentists keeps warning us about global warming, melting of the arctic ice and rise of ocean level, but if it's natural cicle of the earth what can you actually do about it ? :) Get into panic before time ? It's just stupid.
Why do you think about whats going to be after 50 years ? Live your life this day, tomorow you'll do the same. Get a girlfriend, marry her, raise kid(s), in order to be happy when u're going to be really old. Leave a mark after yourself.

Or you wanna be just one of the selfish sceptics all the time ? I bet you don't.
The way you don't wanna be closed person here.
And for the problems. EVERYBODY has the problems. But their size depends on how you see it and take it to solve. :yep:
