Play both, especially after SH4 got the 1.3 patch, very nice and enjoyable. Also, Ducimus just released his Trigger Maru 1.3 Mod, which adds a lot of value to gameplay. Werner Sobe also released a mod addressing the very fast sink times and is about done; making the sinkings very realistic.

Overall with the devs kicking in the patch and the Modders doing their magic we finally have a product. The glass is half full!:up:

I liked the Gato/Balao classes in SH1 though. This wouldn't make me not play SH4. It's just not necessary yet as SH3 became something like a whole new game with GWX too.

Not really, actually you are partly right, the German boats were better, but they could not match Allied production.

The Japanese didn't protect their shipping til it was to late, if the US had proper torpedoes the war would have been over a year earlier.:nope: IE. No Iwo Jima, Okinawa, or Hiroshima.

Anyway, I do think the US radar and TDC were better...but not the torps. :rotfl:

Germany chose Quality over Quantity
mix that with Hitler declaring war on multiple fronts like Russia which became his doom. if Hitler leaved Russia alone and nothing happend between the 2 nations it would have been different probally we would have spoken german all over europe.

Hitler himself has a part in the loss of the war, as he was stuborn and a complete maniac. thought he has been in WW1 he had No Military intelligence over strategics and important decisions.

I only don`t like the graphics in shiv.
The ships do like drawings that floats on the water.
It looks like cutted carbon models glued on a background.
The sea and ships looks more realistic in sh3 than in sh4.
