Love this stuff

Yeah i was bored and didnt want to do a paper so i created a crazy SP mission.

It included 5 liners, 10 tank transports, 3 Aircraft Carriers and a few Didos.
And it had a whole bunch of Massive Icebergs ansd some smaller ones. I had all the ships running at Flank Speeds, heading towards the icebergs. I dived down and went below the icebergs, safely away from any sinking ships. It was fun to watch as the ships scrambled to evade the icebergs. Some of the liners hit the bergs and the other ships, i got bored with that so i went to PD and sank sank the warships and finished the rest with the deck gun, then i dived and started ramming the ice berg and sank haha

its soo boring, its on PTSD in Vietnam Vets and IRaq and Afghanistan Vets and how the Current Admiinstrration has failed them.

I spent many hours reading BRITISH reports on PTSD, like hours, im soooo bored. hahaha

To be fair I guess maybe if you've seen these things up close then there isn't a high appeal to see them in a game.

For the same reason we put new ships, aircraft, 3D objects, realistic graphics, improved sound, biologicals, corrected player U-boat 3D models and everything else we did.

Part of realism is presenting a realistic, living world.

That means having icebergs in the ocean.:88)

Before GWX they were unavailable as well, due to being broken.

I guess that all sounds ok, I mean it is good to have such details where someone would enjoy seeing them. I would say that is where plenty of memory and a good graphics card pays off.

Yeah! Kind of like any other mod that has large campaign files... where the creators might have bothered to add anything interesting.

Go hijack some other thread. Your cheap shots are getting on my nurve.

LOL yeah you are. It does add some major realism to see them though. Should see if they make decent cover aswell...theres a thought. :hmm:

Actually, I just ran across an Iceberg today. Reported as a "slow moving merchant!". :o Grid AF19 I believe. Using GWX too. Pretty neat seeing that berg. Had to show the wife and kids. Be careful navigating too. There's just as much iceberg underwater as there's up top. Started a new career too. Sept 39.

ReM 05-11-07 02:23 AM

Isn't it so that you can reach the ice shelf in SH III if you travel far enough north?

If I am not mistaken I remember someone (I think it was Beery) reaching the ice shelf and posting pics of it....

That would be one big iceberg...

Jimbuna 05-11-07 04:28 AM

I think you eventually reach what is best described as a huge land mass akin to a brick wall :hmm:

Reverie 05-12-07 01:53 AM

I would think icebergs are the last things you would want to see, because of their hazard to shipping....unless you're out of torpedoes, have plenty of fuel, and....what was it ? a few slabs ? :D

TarJak 05-12-07 02:44 AM

I always travel with a few slabs of Becks under my bunk. Have a look under yours. The ice is good for keeping the beer in the esky at the right temerature. (Esky is Australian for cooler see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esky )
