Gotta be a definite YES :yep:

System Specs
I wonder if I will have to upgrade my best system again though.:-? I hope not - right now, I am running a 3.0 Ghz P4 with 1.5 GBs of RAM (400 Mzh) with a ATI Radeon 128MB 9600 TV Capture Card/Video Card combination. I don't have any problems right now, so hopefully that will be enough for SHIV.
|
definitely not, it is from Ubisoft and I had a personal law case with that company and I don't support them any longer by buying their games.

It depends on a lot of things:
1.) I'll wait about 6 months after it's available to see how many bugs, omissions, and other complaints and grievances pop up concerning it. 2.) I want to see how many patches this particular sim needs to make it halfway worth the price. 3.) In 6 months time, I'm sure many of the modders out there will have several mods available for it. We'll see if there are or not, and if not, if Ubi has written the sim to prevent modders from making their child better. 4.) I want to see REAL, UNEDITED screenshots, not highly modified shots that make the sim look 200% better than it actually is. 5.) In 6 months time, sales will start to flatline somewhat, and the retail price should start dropping. People should be able to buy it for a lot less than those who climb over each other to grab the sim while it's still hot from the oven. 6.) And finally, I want to see what the system specs will be, and how many people, who currently have SHIII, will now have to upgrade their systems because SHIV won't work with their current system specs. :lurk: |
?
? duh :o

Definitely, since the PTO is the only Naval theater I have any real interest in.
I bought SH3 last week just to kill time until SH4 is released. Course I'll also be killing time with M:TO2,TOW and WoW while I wait. |
I'm sure I will, although it's going to have to be really good to keep me playing.
I really wish they would've updated SHIII with a richer gaming environment. I just prefer the European theater and U-Boats more than the Pacific theater and US subs. But I'm willing to give it a go... |
Agreed, I don't understand why Ubisoft didn't improve SH3 instead of going back to the pacific scene, which is much smaller and less interesting I would say. I'm not gonna buy SH4, U.S subs hunting japanese task forces bores me...

I will buy it, I remember the original silent hunter, wow I loved it, when was it..........early ninety's I thinks, I remember listening to Bud Grunnner's comments, and those graphics, wow, but boy talk about a dinosaur now :smug: , man I can't wait to start sinking the IJN's finest.
