The fisherman isn't just eye-candy. As I'm working on NorOps, the Kpt's confided in me that he's an Allied spy hiding a Bazooka in his fishing pole. You should've seen the video clip of the testing - Type IIa versus Bazooka infantry:o.

You and me both!
I'm reformatting the computer just for the occasion. Make everything as ship shape as possible. I'm gonna bring the sloppy and overly system taxing XP to its KNEES! Minimal background processes and as stark a desktop as possible. Oh baby GWX is gonna be sweet.

Same here, I am using this as an excuse to clean up my harddrive. Gonna delete lots of crap and then defrag.

I am also reinstalling SH3 since I am bound to have some odd files lying around and messing things up in that "old" installation. (1 month old, I guess:D)

Come to me, friday!

danlisa 11-05-06 08:08 AM

Where did Friday come from?

Barring any last-minute disasters... I am uploading the Beta for emplacement into the installer this weekend. After the GWX team has a couple of days to download it... I will open the doors to those I've invited to the beta session. The latter will occur Tuesday or Wednesday... again barring any unforseen problems.

stabiz 11-05-06 08:22 AM

I have no idea! :rotfl:

yep....this is a perfect opportunity to have a good ol' SH3 "clearout"!;)
It does help that one of my WaW Kaleuns is about to be pensioned-off to a deskjob, while my only other "active" persona has just got himself killed in the Mediterranean!

By Tues / Weds my hard-drive will be suitably wiped, defragged, and a bright, shiny, new SH3 installation will be freshly-patched and waiting!!!

Wooo-Hooooo!!!! Only another couple of days to an early Christmas!!!

I seriously cant wait! This is going to be so sick, mainly because we dont know anything of what we can expect.

All we have seen so far is a pier and the promise of icebergs. :rotfl:

Pants 11-05-06 10:15 AM

Expect the erm UnExpected.

Safe-Keeper 11-05-06 01:11 PM

Then theres a the flip side. Post too much, and you get what feels like a demotion. From Sea lord with the cool white hat to some old fart admiral who looks like the only thing he's in command of, is a desk.

Pants 11-05-06 02:09 PM

Yours actually looks like lloyd bridges :D
Mine looks like an action man or a german verison of GI Joe :D

Friday came to me as it is the only time I have to play game. Most of my gaming time comes from Friday afternoons (10h and counting). I get a small ammount (3h) on Saturday.

I already have a barerly 2 month (even less) old install. As I use MultiSH3, it will be as easy as downloading GWX and making a copy of my patched vanilla install (GWX will need 1.4b patch, right?).

As for the avatars, well, I'm happy I got rid of the XO. Commander looks much more happier (my current state) and it feel like his read, the XO is a bum :yep:

mr chris 11-05-06 02:57 PM

Im having a major clear out on my hard drive!:yep: Am going remove everything then install sh3 and then patch to 1.4 then wait for GWX. Have already told my wife i am going to be glued to the computer for the next month:lol:
As for avatars i hope i stay a Grey Wolf for sometime:p
