Yes, you listed fast food - and hats! - as are reply to my hinting at differences in cultures' values, as if fast food and hats are defining the real value of a culture'.
Is this from the person who rants about Lederhosen and Oktoberfest not really being german :yep:

Ah, you hate a whole country/people because a long time ago their forefathers and your forefathers engaged in war against each other.

But you take it upon me to lecture and ridicule me.
Errrrrr...at no point has he suggested that he hates turks. You however really do hate them and demonstrate it frequently.
His statement is the same as me saying I have more reason than many people to hate muslims, yet I don't hate them because the reason is not logical when you follow it.

I do not hate "Turks",

But i base my attitude
You base your attitude on your deep rooted fear and hate.
You try and dress with pseudo intellectualism it up but it is still plain for all to see.

And when taking all this together - you want to say I am just about this Lego story?
No, this LEGO story is just the latest vehicle for you to hitch your hate onto

He didn't say that. Reading comprehension for the win.

Yep that's exactly the point. They wanted attention, they got it. I think it speaks volumes that this first was published in a German Newspaper and not an Austrian one.

You are replying to a person who spent 13 lines of text for answering multiple quotes and then 91 lines of text for a monologue about himself.

Yeah but I didn't read most of it.

Just trying to point out the inherent irony there. :03:

:dead:

What should I love more in this? The stupid headline that implies that Lego did something racist, or the fact that Lego has surrendered to the Turkish community in Austria and agreed to stop producing the Jabba palace this year?

Once again being noisy and bullying has payed off.

And no, so far there is no sign that the news is just April's fool.

Skybird 04-01-13 10:57 AM

And just the first source I spot telling it in English. Indeed no April's fool for sure, then.

Could not agree more. Being born and raised in this country, I'd immediately put my sign under this text. It is, unfortunately, very true.

No they did not.

Did they?:hmmm:

I would say that the toy is a good copy of the one from the movie....not the hagia sophia. Heck if they don't like the connection to star wars they can always give it back.

and why not Constantinople while they are at it.

I'm kinda getting tired of "integration" where a refugees can come into a country and make it the way they want. It's a melting pot, not a "why isn't this like the old country" sort of thing.

Being born in Germany and raised in a poor neighborhood, we today call "sozialer Brennpunkt", I disagree.
I grew up with problematic kids from all mentioned nationalities, except Japanese and North Americans, which has more to do with the social background the latter two immigrant groups usually have.
I met enough idiotic immigrants from muslim countries and fellow countrymen of them who are ashamed of them. I just hope I don't become as prejudiced as my German-Egyptian friend who says Arabs are nothing but scum. :)
