Well, it has been so long that I have had the same screen name now, I think I forgot why I chose it exactly.:lol: Way back in 1998 and 1999 (seems so long ago, doesn't it?:-?), I was playing Novalogic's F-16 Multirole Fighter, MiG-29 Fulcrum, F-22 Raptor, and F-22 Lightning 3 online. F-16, MiG-29, and F-22 Raptor could all fight in the same online arenas. It was great back in the day and the last time I really ever playing anything online. Anyway, I was part of a squadron for the F-16. Then, I was going by the name Burner. I got tired of that. After the squad pretty much disbanded I started my own for the MiG-29 called the Russian Knights. It did very well. I changed my nickname to Volk, then. At first we just allowed players who flew the MiG-29. When the big, highly anticipated patch was released that allowed F-22 Raptor to fly the same skies as the F-16 and MiG-29 I made the decision to allow the F-16 and F-22 into the squad. When F-22 Lightning 3 was released about a year later (1999), the squad slowed down. I then made the decision to disband. Shortly after I joined a squad the Air Aces Squadron. That squad allowed the F-16, F-22 Raptor, MiG-29, and F-22 Lightning 3. I was eventually put in charge of the F-22 L3 division of the squad. That is when I changed my nickname to the one I have now. I wanted something that I could identify with when playing online as well as something unique and different. Since I was pretty good at coming up on people's 6's and killing them I came up with Syxx_Killer. At the time I was also playing Delta Force online, and the idea for my current name also worked for that game, too. I was thinking of six shooter pistols for some odd reason. The nickname really stuck then. I haven't played any of those awesome games in a very, very long time. MiG-29 was my most anticipated game ever. Nothing comes close to the suspense I had just before the release. The MiG-29 is my favorite fighter plane ever. Consequently, you can still buy the games I mentioned above from Novalogic's website. The only other sim I had played that featured the MiG-29 was a game of the same name by Domark. It ran on Windows 3.1, came on two or three floppies (I don't remember), and had the most aweful engine sounds I have ever heard (then or now). I usually just turned them off in the game. However, the scenarios that came with the game were really fun. I played that game for hours. I picked it up at a flea market for a couple bucks. I still have it sitting in the bottom drawer of my desk.
Here's a site about the game if anyone wants a trip down memory lane:

Sorry for the rambling post. I just get all nostalgic when talking about this stuff!:lol:
