How is it that Sir Big Jugs aka Chokersandwich aka CV-707 etc has this unique talent of putting the cat amongst the pigeons?

This is wrong Gizzmoe.

I am not mad at you.

I don't like the way you mod. You show favortism and flex your power way too often. You do this to instill fear into people not to post discussion that you don't find favorable in the future. This is wrong. You view each and every post or thread as if they are written against you or to you directly. This is wrong.

And this is the thread about YOU and people have been asked by the thread creator to discuss their concerns about you. This IS the appropriate forum and you yourself admitted to me that you allow exceptions so this thread MUST be that exception for all of us to put in our two cents about your modding ability.

Don't blame Waste Gate or me for that matter. Neither of us started this thread. We are just discussing in the thread that you thus far have allowed.

There have been no forum rules broken except for the fact that you are allowing this thread to go unlocked because you stated you allow this thread as an exception.

Now as soon as you see negative feedback against your modding ability you state you are mad and threaten to ban the ones that state anything negative about your modding ability. This is censorship and this must not go on with you!

I give people the opportunity to publically discuss issues they have with me and you two donīt seem to appreciate that at all!

And now the threats. BTW you suspended me (15 OCT 06) for publicly questioning your views and actions. But first you deleted my posts. So you are mistaken.

Itīs a right, itīs part of the job and not unusual that moderators can do that. And Neal makes sure that I canīt misuse that right.

I would say it is a privilege since Neal CHOSE you for the job. Rights can't be taken away, but privileges can.

Sir Big Jugs 10-24-06 11:10 AM

Gizzmoe, you previously stated that

Do the other moderators have this privilige too?
Just wondering.
Btw, I've voted now.

I hate to break it to you but we do censor posts here. Anything that breaks the rules here will be removed. Its part of maintaining what subsim is.

I suggest you read our FAQ & Rules section specificly

What are Subsim.com's editorial policies?

The Radio Room forum is not the place for flaming, spewing, or otherwise mouthing off. We do not allow posts where people are called idiots, morons, etc. We respect your freedom of speech, we ask that you respect our rules. You are welcome to express your opinion about games and other subjects. We do not want SUBSIM Review and the Radio Room forums to degenerate into a collection of *This game sux!!!!* and other immature rants. Like something or dislike something about a game, express your thoughts in reasoned and responsible terms. There are any number of forums which allow unbridled idiocy to reign, we want the Radio Room to be a civil, mature forum for discussions about naval and subsims, tactics, mods, playing tips, troubleshooting, and submarine topics in general. As such, we retain the right to edit and/or delete posts we find offensive. We also have the right to ban users who contribute to poisoning the well. Just as a radio talk host has the right to decide who he airs and a newspaper editor decides whose letters he prints and whose he throws away, the moderators in the Radio Room forums have final say on rants and spews they decide should be cut.

What role do Subsim forum moderators play?

Subsim forums allow a wide range of discussion freedom but there are limits. Moderators volunteer to see that the forums do not descend into chaos and anarchy and that the rules are adhered to. Members should not publicly attack a Moderator or intentionally undermine a Moderator's actions by baiting or harrassing him. It is okay for a member to publicly ask a Moderator why an admonishment was issued or why a post was censored. Do not seek to argue endlessly over it.
If a member wishes to challenge a Moderator action that involves the member, this challenge must be raised in private via PM or email, not in public.

As for banning, all moderators can recommend someone for banning, a few can also ban directly. At least thats what i understand

No, Neal gave me the right to suspend or permanently ban people. I then need to report why I did that. Thatīs the way it works on many boards.

WHat is the point of this thread? It matters not what you think of Gizzmoe and his moderating abilities. Though all of us probably have had issue with one thing or another that Gizzmoe has done, for the most part he is doing a decent job and from what I understand, this is not a democracy. I refuse to vote in the poll.

Just my 2 cents as always.

I vote for Sir Big Jugs to replace Gizzmoe!

Gizzmoe obviously let Sir Big Jugs run this poll and this thread and now the table has turned on Gizzmoe. Since Sir Big Jugs was the thread creator I am all in favor of him and his cunning ability to lead this forum as its moderator.

The post that got you suspended is still there.

Neal and I think different about that.

Well I did vote, not that the choices were that logical and you're right, it doesn't really matter. I suppose if a good portion of people in this forum were against any moderator, then things would probably change. Remember, we are all basically a member of a PRIVATE club. Sometimes life is unfair. Shoot (substitute oo with i) happens. :know:
