Do we insist people do as they are told by certain people and anyone that is not in line be sent where? A camp away from the good people. You can then post a sign saying “Wulfmann Frei” at the city limits and insist I was removed for my protection to a safe camp in Poland!

To answer your question I will try and explain the legality you so desperately want to ignore. I will try and use small words as you obviously have little discernment.

We all agreed when we installed SH3 UBIsoft owns the copyrighted material. You had to click on it to continue the install. If you did not agree you could not proceed.
Therefore, anyone that modifies SH3 copyrighted material does not own that because it already belongs to Ubisoft.

So, legally (as I said, not morally) any modded version of these UBI files belong to UBI and anyone they choose to authorize using them. They have so authorized X-1 and its partners to make an add on to SH3. They have not authorized Greywolves or RUB or NTGM.

There are two things that can happen here. You can protest by not buying playing and enjoying future UBI games or you can simply recognize, like it or not, they have a legal right to do this.
Of course there is a third alternative. You can complain so much they start locking the games so no mods can be done at all.
I have been playing SH3 nearly every day since last May 2005 and I can assure you without all the freeware mods I would have uninstalled by July 2005.

It is UBI’s sand box. If you don’t like it play somewhere else.

Now as far as being a fanboy, well I guess it is easy to cheap name call than face the facts. Since they do not stand up legally using such childish bullying tactics is in line with a brown shirted mentality.

I don’t see what the crowd says and sing along. I think outside the box and recognize the reality, ugly as it is in some way, and realize this so called injustice is also how we can mod the game for our enjoyment.
