I bought the game not long after release, brought her home and my old computer wouldn't play it. Problem with my Nvidia card not supporting SH3. I had joined subsim at the time and would come on every so often to look at the pictures, read some stories and just wish I could take my boat out on her maiden voyage. Well, my computer blew the PSU and decided it was now or never, so I ordered a Dimension 9150 and she plays beautifully. Since I just finished college, I have some time on my hands and I'm making the most of it out on the NordSee right now. I've barely ever played SH3 stock, got GW right off the bat and loving it. These forums and the great modders make a great game the closest thing anyone can get to fighting the U-Boat war. Hats off to all of you! :arrgh!:

I am new to this forum , but i am playing sh3 for almost a year now.I must say that new games have "stolen" my heart from the game, but when i installed grey wolves , i can't take my eyes from it!! It has transformed the game completely.I am reading the threads in this forum for over 4 months , but haven't posted any replys.That's because all the people in here are very very polite and understanding and i have solved all issues i had with the game..i believe that mods are a big boost for the game itself -and every game- but the thing is that ubi should had those "extras" integraded in the vanilla game.

My interest in this game sparked from hearing about it, since I absolutely loved SH2. I was amazed at the graphics and almost drooled just from the screenshots. However, I didn't get it for months later on my birthday in January. Quite an awesome game, this is.

The forum here is definately one of the best I have ever been on.

The Ubizoo is an example of one of the worst forums I have ever been on.There are a few decent ones but most have the maturity of a 3 year old.

Here everyone is mature,friendly,helpful and respectful of others opinions.We may get into a few tiffs here and there but after the dust clears its all good again and we get back to what matters..the game and the community.

Its nice to see all the new faces showing up to keep our favorite game alive and kicking.

I want to say thanks for the kind comments, keeping the forums friendly and upbeat is a priority. And because of the members who visit, we have a pretty good atmosphere. We do have ups and downs but the problems seem to go away on their own accord.

I came to SHIII for a change from Falcon - I used to play a Microprose sub game on the amiga, it was set in the Pacific and might have been called "Silent Service"(?)

yeah i had that but on the c-64, i got the game shortly after it came out too, i used to go on the bf2 forums but it is always full of really obnoxious peeps no-one could post anything without receiving a load of abuse from someone, this place is loads better v.friendly peeps and im happy to be a part of it all here :up:

I got the game when it first came out. Did not like starforce. I think it messed up some of my other programs so left the game alone for a while. I am now back and wish to install the grey wolves mod but the site seems down.
I had to get a new graphics card for the game as well. £30 game and £70 graphics card. Looking foward to number 4.
