Well sorry, I would like to remain dedicated to Sonanalysts but it's apparent by their behaviour that they regard their customers as a bunch of idiots. I've learnt a long time ago to dump companies which act like this...I have a long list of boycotted makes: Toshiba, Toyota, Grundig, Thompson, Zanussi, Currys, Sainsburys, Ford, Vauxhall, River Island, Atari and on and on...LOL...how about that for advertising? I will just add them to my list...:arrgh!:

You know what ?
I don't care what you say.
Don't like DW, fair enough, just stop trolling in this section and go annoy the SH3&SH4 sections of this forum. :)

Mate, learn English before you respond. I didn't say I don't like DW, I said I don't like the company who made it. There's a difference. ;)

Idiota.

j/k :hmm:

Hmm. I think Sonalysts have done outstanding work in all 4 of their sims. And I don't think their support is terrible at all. They've been at least as vocal to their community as other game makers out there are, and they do alot more than make games. In short, I don't think Sonalysts deserves to be crapped on like this.

But of course everyone is entitled to their opinion. See ya.;)

Kurushio 07-01-06 09:53 PM

Nah, of course not. What do you call Red Storm Rising being available publicly, then next thing...not available anymore, sorry, cause it's going to be used in the European release? Now you see it...now you don't. That's just unprofessional, not to mention the campaigns and "added content" was made by the modding community. Funny how they "don't deserve to be crapped on..." though you find it justifiable to slip in the overused phrase "...anyway, games is not the only thing they do". Well, if they don't deserve it, why do you feel you have to defend them?

As you said...everyone is entitled to their opinion and as I recall I'm not the only one complaining...there's a whole thread on it.

Tara' chuck.

I think this person didnt consider his reply being publicized  , yes probably an italian.

Quality of the answer apart, I think it's obvious and normal that they want to release an official mission pack, being the makers of the simulator...
IMO any game producer would do the same, so Kurushio prepare to extend your list  ... don't she yet include Microsoft? hehe

Further, some people (like me) just do like to have the original stuff when the quality of the game is high. Personally I think the selling price of DW was "a joke", considering what this software can do, the amount of literature that comes with it and the amount of hours I spend with it!

And this reply implies the possibility of future game developments :hmm:

If i remember well, the price of some flight simulator I've seen 2-3 years ago was well over 100$ ... and flight simulators are more popular...

That isn't so much Sonalysts decision. The stuff with the extra content is Blackbean's call. I understand they want sales but I think they should have released the extra missions as soon as the UK release went out. Like someone said the extra missions are useless without DW.

I wonder if SCS could make some noises.

Then my opinion changes.

Ori_b 07-02-06 06:31 AM

Excuse me for mistaking, OP:LAST RESORT is not a campagine but a single mission, i can still share it if you want.

The modding community had nothing to do with this, and no input on content or release.

We are somewhere below the people that look at the box in the store on the priority list, although, like I said before, I believe Jamie is working hard personally to change this.

LuftWolf 07-02-06 09:45 AM

Jamie... do you have any input on trying to get the mission file distribution to prior customers?

Kurushio 07-02-06 01:14 PM

Disregard my comments on Sonanalysts...jumped the gun there and sort of misunderstood something (about Blackbean). Definitely wont be adding them to my "list". Far better then Toyoto, Toshiba etc. :yep: And I will be buying their Naval Combat Pack, which even though I already have one of the games is still very good value for money....

Go Sonanalysts!!

We granted an exclusive license to BlackBean to distribute the game in Europe. Any added content that was included in the European release was "their call" and they reserve the right to do whatever they choose with that content. And although we may have created the Mission Editor here at "Sonanalysts", we did so because we wanted you (the community) to make some terrific things with it which are YOURS, not ours (and therefore those in community who created the missions have granted BlackBean the right to use them in their release). There's nothing we can do about that...

With that said, I've put an email into them asking that they release that content at a later date and am waiting for an official response from them... :shifty:

JamesT73J 07-02-06 01:54 PM

I understand Blackbean's viewpoint. They see the extra content as a selling point - fair enough really.

I don't mind waiting for it, there's enough good user-created scenarios to keep me busy for a while.

Now i get confused with nicknames also. Sonalyst, your product is an artifact.

The mission editor itself is working so smoothly that even a retarded can build interesting missions.

The idea is that someone (I can't), puts up a server or uses his server to publish the custom missions.

I don't like it at all that BlackBean gets money for a minimal effort. A good candidate to open my BlackList!

Rather I would spend money for the modders around (not much money :) ) and pay for theyr radical contributions!!!!!!!!
