Chairman Mao wasn't exactly a religious man, yet it is estimated that he slaughtered over 50 million people. Joe Stalin was an atheist also. about 30 million.

Yep, I´m aware of that. They were just fricking lunatics and should´ve have been shot when they were born.

LTTE. Look it up.

Did you have any luck with that kiwi_2005?

Here is another one in the Narodnaya Volya (People’sWill) from late 19th century Russia and their use of crude explosives and dynamite.

And another being the Barbar Khalsa International (BKI) of India.

Suicide bombers and suicide terrorist attacks have been and are conducted by both secular and religous groups. Such suicide attacks have been employed by a large variety of groups, including Muslim (both Shi’ite and Sunni), Christian, Hindu, Sikh, Jewish and secular organizations, especially in the Middle East but also in many other regions of the world.

I will repeat for your benafit:

Quote:

Do Christian Europeans hold a set of "values?"
Did the Natzi Christian Europeans have the same "values?"

You see? the word "Natzi" or "Islamic Terrorist" can be used to discribe a set of values, but the words "christian" or "Muslim" DO NOT REFER TO A SET OF VALUES

I cannot help but think that it is a case of the minority influencing the majority. Islam proclaims itself to be a peaceful religion, as does Christianity, and yet many such distasteful acts have been committed in the name of both religions.
Religion is an excuse, a ways to a means for those who have always been hateful of Western Culture (for whatever means) to commit atrocities and in the eyes of their fellow Muslims be venerated for it. Does this mean that we should ban all religions? Doing so will not stop such people, they will just search for another excuse, or just not use one at all.
After all, we who wax lyrical about freedoms have not always been so lenient, it is hard to think of a major world power today that has not indulged in a spot of genocide in its time, but does that mean that for the actions of our ancestors that we should expect the world to hold us accountable?
Unfortunately, the more publicity these people get, the longer their arm reaches, and they pass their hate onto the next generation so that the hate grows, and so our hate of them grows, until it is very much us and them.
...I cannot help but remember a time in Germany when the media portrayed a group of people as 'savages' and encouraged 'us vs them' and I can't help but remember what that lead to.

And maybe like i remeber the muslims in our country going on television to express there regrets at what happen in the 9/11 are geniune, but its hard to trust a people that do it in the name of God and seem to hate the Jews who are gods chosen?. So WTF are the muslims going on about. Hypocrites.

Happy Times 02-06-06 08:37 AM

Dowly, how is it going in the military?

Rotary Crewman 02-06-06 08:41 AM

Not wanting to get involved, why was the LTTE (Tamil Tigers) mentioned?
