Thanks guys - there are a lot of us out here who are going to be very grateful for your help.  :|\ |
Due to popular demand I have just sent a tutorial to Bill Nichols, (http://www.subguru.com/) on how to add a new navy to DW using DWDBEdit. With this, you should be able to add units to existing navies or create new ones. It will probably be up sometime tommorrow.

And why do sensors detection curves have more than one value? :hmm: I'm still stumped on what each some of these paraments are controlling :damn: Can you put a little notation out to the side of some of the values about what the value is doing? :ping: |
I second that - it would be nice to hear of whats and whys as well as the much appreciated 'hows'

Hi Bellman & Deathblow,
Actually, I thought of doing that while I was writing the tutorial. However I would still be writing it if I tried to include all that information. My goal was to get something out so people could add their own, favorite units. Your request is still a good one. But what I will do is write a short description of each individual db and give my understanding of how each parameter works, or in some cases doesn't work. I'll start with the sensor and thrust db's since those were ones you specifically mentioned. I'll do the others as I have time. In the mean time, you can click on one of the edit boxes in the form view of the db. At the bottom, in the status line, is a short description of the parameter. cheers, jsteed |
JS That will be greatly appreciated thank you. :|\
