Already seeing the start here in Ohio.
Shouldn't someone be sacrificing a Virgin or something?

I watched it with my Red and Blue 3D glasses.
It was like seeing it in real life.

nuthin' good goes outta style https://static.life.com/wp-content/u...2_00129471.jpg I wore them in 1960, age 9, to see the ghosts in GHOST

It just can't be as much fun watching this at home without a Ghost Viewer as it would have been back in the day. When you went to the theatre, you were given a piece of plastic with two strips of colored plastic. When the ghosts appear, you can look through the red strip and see them (eek!) Or if you were just hopelessly terrified to the point where your underwear was not safe. you could look through the blue plastic and see the scene without that nasty apparitions (since the ghosts were shown in blue in an otherwise black & white film. Or was it the other way around? Sounds kind of like a William Castle epic, you may well think and indeed it was. I wonder if William Castle would be more highly regarded as a filmmaker if he hadn't gone in for the goofy gimmicks? Maybe. He did mostly lightweight drive-in horror flicks but some (like SARDONICUS) were pretty good in their own right.

In Iowa, it got colder and wind started to blow.
Just like the eclipse. :nope:

Curse you, Ohio. :O:

Only thing around here is Vegans.
:hmmm:

I did sacrifice a Starling with a .25 grain pellet. That seems to be working so far.

So do I. :Kaleun_Wink:
If SOH allows us to upload directly to the new forum in August, I have a few nifty ones I'll post. :D

^ I'd like to achieve one showing a "Tsetse" Mozzie attacking a U-Boat - I've got plans for a painting of this some day

We were just slightly off the path of totality. It started to get dark so I went and hid in the basement.

:D

Lucky you, Marcel - we had one some years back and it was dead spooky. All the birds shut up - even Moira went quiet for a while :)

Yes it was spooky. Our back yard looked like a zombie movie scene.

You realize, of course, that at some point she's going to read your post. :o
The rest of us will know when that happens. :yep:

"We had canned soup for dinner."
"Oh? What kind?"
"I don't know, I only got the empty can.."

:O:
