Civil war for me is when an army fight against itself within a country.

There's civil unrest and riots in the street, I wouldn't exactly call it civil war, but what do I know.

Ya'll kill each other over a "Foos Ball" Game over the Pond!
So what makes doing the same thing in the Streets any different?

Our useless politicians don't think like the public do, instead of cracking the whip they'd sooner hold their hands.

Some 719 people were arrested overnight, down from well over a thousand the previous night.

The roots of the problem in France date back at least two generations. The feudalistic self-underdstanding of that state and its "elite" also is part of the problem, it serves as fertilizer for the social and failed integration problem, makes sure the flames burn even hotter.

Europe is - intentionally! - desintegrating its historically and culturally grown identity. In slow motion, but in recent ten years or so this destruction has won in pace. The EU deliberately does its share to that. In the preambel of its constitution, which is not called a constitution formally, the EU could not even bring itself to refer to the occidental-Christian reference in the development of European history. The EU parliament murdered the idea of the authors with utmost contempt and rage.

Where France now is, Germany will be in the foreseeable future, the inner dynamic is the same, it cannot be ignored. Also the UK. Sweden. Maybe the Netherlands.

It worries/ troubles me to say it but I agree with you.

Europe is on a steep downward slippery slope.
